We’ve driven by here for years and never stopped in, but tonight we did! Got the fried shrimp, hush puppies, and fries. Their hush puppies and shrimp were great! Our waitress was awesome. The food was hot. The restaurant was clean and nice. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back!

Look if you live 40 minutes away then it’s probably not your thing. But if you live at the lake then this is the best and only place around. We enjoy the homey feeling and local crowd.

The food was good. The menu is really small. We only had about 5 things to choose from. Very pricey. And what ever you do. Do not order a lemon drop drink. Because that 12oz drink cost me 20$
Would I revisit. Most likely not. Just to deep for my pocket.

Updating previous post…. Elmo’s is open. Great new management, friendly atmosphere, love that they started a Happy Hour! Food is good, great pizza. They are working to somewhat update the interior and the menu keeps expanding. So happy there is somewhere nearby to go on a Friday night without driving all the way to Milledgeville.

It was July 5th 7 pm. Have been driving by Elmo’s for almost a year. ( My dad and friends said it was so so and pricey) We decided to try the place. Walked in , it was hot inside, no AC. Was told to seat ourselves, choose a seat but the table had to be cleaned first. The place was practically empty. After the table was cleaned, the table was still sticky, due to some clear coat not being dry. Service was just ok, food was just ok. 44.00$ for two plates of not big shrimp , water, sweet tea, 1 small salad. I will rate Elmo’s ” not very good for the price”

Update: With new ownership they now have set open hours, I no longer have to wonder if they will be open or not. Everything is a little pricey but its convenient.
Very convenient for us on this side of the lake. Hit and miss if they would be open or not though. The picture I posted is their hours of operation.

The folks that own Ansley’s ain’t never left a bad taste in my mouth… The lady is actually cool as a fan… The prices will make u seek counseling, preferably 2 days prior and post visit, but hey, ya can’t knock the hustle only respect it… u only pay about 1 or 2 bucks more per item but it’s way out here and they have a wider variety of merchandise than ur average place in town… Respect the Hustle
