If you’re anywhere near Sturgeon Bay, you HAVE to stop at Elmo’s Pizza. Easily one of the best pizzas we’ve had in Door County.
The crust was the real MVP — perfectly baked, light, and not chewy at all (which is rare!). It had that ideal balance of crisp on the outside and soft inside. The pepperoni was top-tier, with great flavor and just the right amount of crisp on the edges. Everything tasted high quality and fresh — no shortcuts here.
On top of that, they were impressively quick.

Tried this place based on reviews, but unfortunately wasn’t impressed. We ordered a margherita pizza—the crust was good, but both cheese and basil were barely visible.
Typically wood fired pizzas are quick, but we waited at least 20 minutes. The place was full but there was only one waitress for all of the tables.

So we found our new favorite pizza spot in Sturgeon Bay! Excellent wood fire pizza! Waitress was great and the atmosphere was cool. They’ve got a decent beer and wine selection. It was our first time there, but we will be definitely be back.

Took the family out to check this place out after hearing great reviews. I’ll be honest I was a bit disappointed… while the server was nice, she wasn’t around much. I. Noticed that, maybe there were circumstances, but she had to periodically fill in behind the bar. To the point that we had different servers each time something was brought o the table. Our Pizza, though delicious, was not as advertised. When I hear “piggys in a blanket” I’d expect more then one piece of bacon to be put on a 14″ disc. Especially for almost $30!! The dough, while I can tell it was made in-house, it was so thin that every pizza I noticed not me but every table the pizza would just flop when picked up. Not pleasing to the eye…
Not sure if anyone had seen the tiktoks on the “two dudes and a burger job” gag but it unfortunately applies here. Everything about the place is “creative” but the substance isnt there and its WAY overpriced for what you get. Will be back only when a $26 pizza has $26 worth of food on it

What can I say about Elmo’s Pizza? I haven’t had a decent pizza in some time. I am so glad I got the chance to stop. I was check out places to visit while on vacation and saw Elmo’s. I am defiantly going to stop back the next time I’m in the area. That Dolce Torte Pizza was to die for!!

Seriously good eats at this local gem! Their pizza crust was one of the best I’ve tried. Their staff was friendly and gave great recommendations for not only our food but places to stop by before we headed back to Chicago. We met the owner before we left and he’s doing his Grandfather Elmo proud with the care he’s putting into his product! We will definitely be back. If you’re looking for great pizza in Door County- look no further than Elmo’s!

Delicious pizza, friendly fast service and a welcoming atmosphere. Excellent draft beer list and interesting pizzas with great specials! There’s even a small video game arcade. A delightful new addition to the Sturgeon Bay pizza scene- we will be back!
