Ordered Elmer’s BBQ through Doordash for 2 days in a row, but we picked up the 2nd time. It was nice seeing the owner (he use to cater at my old employer), and the food was just as Delicious now as it was back then! Actually, my husband and I Enjoyed our food so much that we ate Elmer’s the very next day, lol!

Time slowed down as I walked through the door. Charming restaurant with big flavor. The best BBQ in Tulsa! The portions sizes are great. blues lightly playing.. The sweet tea… the bark on the ribs was astounding. Can’t wait to go back!!! Get the badwich. Thank me later!

My partner and I stopped here after hearing that this was a decent spot to get some good barbecue.
Boy were the reviews incorrect, and misleading.
Food portions were tiny, it reminded me of eating in a public school.
The price of those portions is insanely overpriced.

Beef was alright, no true flavor.
Sausage was dry as a bone, and heavily seasoned.
Bologna was flavorless.
Potato salad? A joke. It was more cold potato than anything.

The service was questionable.
It was a one man show, and he was all over the place. I have to admire a man trying to hold his own but there is a time and a need for help to be hired.

Will not be returning.

The owner is super friendly. Me and my wife came in and were the only ones there. Got ribs, chicken, and baked beans with brisket. Everything was absolutely delicious. All the BBQ sauce was made in house. I wish more people would come in and enjoy this food. The portions were good for a late lunch and price is comparable to BBQ chain restaurants that don’t have that great of flavor. Ribs were thick and tender and not dry at all. 10/10, coming back again!

Our company catered Elmer’s for our Employee Appreciation lunch and it was the BEST BBQ I’ve had in a while. Great smokey flavor, not overpowering, and the ribs were nicely tender and juicy without being mushy. The pulled pork was spot on and I didn’t even need to add sauce. Highly recommend Elmer’s for your next catering event!

Stopped in on a whim.. To my delight, I was met by Keith, the owner. I inquired about ‘rib ends’… he told me about his ‘short rib ends’ . Everything he boasted confidently about, I found to be true!!
The ends were fabulous!!! Very juicy, meaty and absolutely great!!!!! No sauce needed! Keith was so friendly. The tiny dining area is wonderfully decorated with vintage poster of great Blues musicians!! I left completely satisfied !!

After many years of not being able to eat at Elmer’s, been able to eat here semi-regularly again.

And gotta say, the food is still fantastic! I’ve been getting the Badwhich here lately (with hot links and on the bun), as it has a lil’ bit of everything, comes with a rib and two sides.

I love getting the corn on the cob and Mac-n-Cheese. But if they’re out of one of the items (since it’s made in house), I also love the coleslaw.

The owner is very personable and wants you to have a great meal, which is why I’m always eager to come back!

Keith, the owner is so confident of his product that he had us taste our takeout in front of him no sauce added. He was correct. Hands down the best BBQ I have had in Tulsa.

Located on a great street to shop, have a drink, and then enjoy some barbecue. The owner was on site, friendly, and impressionable. Warm friendly smile and also prepared the food.
The potato salad was mashed-like, which was new to me. Salmon was flavorful and a bit dry. (Maybe the smoking does that) Make sure to purchase some bbq sauce to take home, great flavor, and 3 options to choose from.
Decor was entertaining and full of history.

My favorite BBQ restaurant is open again! Sadly, they closed at the height of the COVID pandemic. I was afraid I would never get to eat their incredible food again. I was so happy when I learned they were open in a new location a little further down Peoria. They actually opened back in January but somehow I didn’t know it until now.

Same friendly folks and fortunately, the same amazing food! This is THE barbeque place that I judge all others against. The owner, Keith, said, “Good barbeque makes you happy.” Well, I was very happy today! The ribs are my favorite menu item but, over the years, I have had most everything on the menu and it’s all good. Pulled pork, beef, chicken, sausage, hot links, you name it, it’s good. It’s so good that there is no need to use sauce but their sauces are awesome and must be sampled. They have a spice I can’t identify that gives them that signature Elmer’s taste.

The new place is nice. The blues is still playing and the B B King Epiphone is still proudly displayed. It’s in a popular trendy area a couple of blocks south of 31st St. The only drawback is parking. The area was really crowded and parking was in short supply. Don’t worry about that though, the Q is worth hunting for a place to park.

Go to Elmer’s!

Eat great Barbeque!

Be happy that you’re helping a local business!
