Elm is an absolutely amazing restaurant located in New Canaan, CT. Incredible menu consisting of modern and innovative meals such as falafels served in a plate of fresh hummus and grass-fed smash burgers. Best food, drinks and very attentive service! Highly recommended!

What a great experience. I came in for lunch on a weekday and was greeted by the manager, very friendly and welcoming. I started with the deviled eggs with hot smoked trout and pickles carrots. The trout was an interesting, perfect touch. For my drink, I got the spirit free mojito and it was delicious. The bar tender there is friendly and prepares amazing drinks. For my main course I got the lobster roll with arugula and bacon. Oh boy, it was buttery and they didn’t skimp with the lobster. What a delight. As far the atmosphere, look at the pictures. Its gorgeous. I will be coming back for dinner.

WOW. Floored. The new chef/owner is exceptionally talented. Cocktail service is serious with beautiful fresh ingredients. Food was magnificent. Gazpacho with strawberries and crab was complex and generous, and the gnocchi with fava beans, morels and Robiola was jaw-dropping delicious. Service was perfect – warm, professional and well trained. Ambiance is top notch. Highly recommend.

Elm definitely seems to be one of the go-to spots in New Canaan! It was super busy there even for a Wednesday night when we went. They have a great cocktail selection, and all of the food we had was fresh and tasty. Some of our favorites were the bacon wrapped dates and the veal. All of the menu choices were great for the summer. Because the restaurant is on the smaller side inside, it did get noisy pretty fast, but it seemed like a community-oriented spot where the locals knew each other well.

I don’t visit New Canaan all that much but I think I will from now on. Elm is one of the reasons. Really great spot right in the center of town. The atmosphere was excellent. Looks like it could be upscale yet totally casual at the same time. Food was excellent. Service was top notch. Overall stellar experience. I will be back as it is exactly what The Amore Life enjoys.

Our waitress was attentive, efficient, and friendly. The appetizers (jamón iberico and burrata) were incredible, and drinks were also very delicious. I ordered the half chicken with grits for an entrée and it was extremely flavorful and cooked perfectly.
The only thing that slightly disappointed me was the dessert. We ordered the chocolate ganache with pistachio gelato. The ganache had flaked salt on top and was too salty for my taste.

Very clean atmosphere as soon as you enter the restaurant. We decided to try them out for brunch last minute. Staff is very attentive to the guests. The menu is a little on the pricier side but the service was very quick! The king cole cocktail was one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. We started with the pull apart bread which was light and fluffy. My friend had the crispy pork hash and I did the lobster roll with a side of the black truffle fries. The hash had a really good flavor and the mushrooms had a slight crisp to them adding an extra flavor! Would definitely try them out for dinner service in the future!

The food was very delicious. Creative ingredients. The kale salad with a smoked cheddar was very savory, satisfying and healthy.
The rib eye steak was also delicious (but perhaps less healthy).
I would also recommend the pasta. Not homemade but delicious. We had the lumache (spicy pork bolognese) was very good. Didn’t have any other of the pastas though.

Great aesthetic, food presentation and spirit list. Personally felt things were a bit pricey for the amount of food you received but I can’t deny it is was top tier tasting / quality! This was a first time for me to eat my entire dinner with appetizers and still be hungry.
Screaming kid next to us and subpar service took a toll on us. Server was nice but just couldn’t keep up with being attentive whatsoever. Had to keep asking other staff members for things.
