Nice little place to stop for lunch. Good portion and good tasting food. Our server was very helpful and nice. She kept our drinks full and recommended the special. I guess most of the food is hand made. We didn’t get a chance to try the full bar but I bet it’s good too.

Comfortable atmosphere with nicely themed rooms. Quality of service was excellent compared to the quality of food.
Food was average. Didn’t taste bad but certainly didn’t stand out. Ordered 3 steaks. 9oz fillets at $24.99 a plate and they only had 2 fillets left. One of them looked 9 oz and was cooked almost right. Kinda tasted like it was in freezer to long. Kinda tough. The other looked like about 6 oz and was was over cooked to request and very tough. Ate two bites and left the rest. 3rd steak was subbed out by recommended 10 oz Prime Rib “Queen Cut”. Steak was way under cooked and had probably 4 Oz’s of grizzle.
As an end result of a $100.00 + order along with 2 cheeseburgers in a party of 5 we were comped a $4.00 discount.
Very unsatisfied with management decision and food. Will not return or recommend this restaurant.

Recently went in with my family to eat dinner and it was terrible! Never had order taken. Waitress ignored taking an order while arguing amongst another employee while giving water to our table. The menu was completely empty with minimum choices to order if ever given the option to order. After 35 minutes I decided to pay for the sodas and leave. I couldn’t even believe that the waitress and staff made no attempt to make it right or offer any solution! She simply said goodbye! Won’t recommend or go here again.

I walked in right after they closed. Instead of turning me away, the owner told me to take a seat, fixed me a steak of my choice with a great loaded baked potato. This thing was huge, cooked exactly like I ordered and the service was first rate. The price was very reasonable for what I had. Typical small town hospitality and service!! If you are traveling through or near Ellsworth, KS, this is a must stop. The staff is warm, friendly and welcoming. The steaks were some of the best we have had and we have all eaten steaks all over the US. The quality was outstanding at any price point, but getting such a great meal at the price we paid can’t be beat. If we are ever near this area again, you can be sure we will be visiting again. This is a sweet little gem that should not be missed. Great food. Great people. Wonderful dining experience.

Cute little restaurant. Awesome service! We’ve eaten there twice, once for breakfast, once for lunch. The food was good, they’ve got real chicken fried steak and if your from Tx you know what I’m talking about. The gravy is to die for! So far what we’ve had is great. Prices are average. They’ve got a 5 star chef which makes a huge difference! Look forward to eating there again!

In a town this size, it’s a pretty big-deal restaurant. The owners are super friendly and you can feel the family air. This weekend is the 2nd time we stopped in. The Sunday brunch draws a crowd. You should have that buffet. The lady next to our table had some complaints about mixed up orders, but the owner cleared it up. We had a mixed up order as well, but it wasn’t the end of the world. Husband and I just exchanged food on the plate that was his/mine. Food is alright. We def will come back.

Great ambiance! Rustic yet romantic. Food was delicious. We ordered loaded waffle fries as appetizer. Very tasty with just a little spiciness. I had prime rib. The BEST prime rib I’ve had in years!! My husband ordered a ribeye which he thought was good quality. I think we may have found our new favorite steakhouse!

Ordered the prime rib, rare. Was very good, juicy, and tender.
That being said, the wait was much to long. We were there at 5:00 pm, only 1 couple there that already had their food. We ordered with in 10 minutes and waited on the appetizer for a good 30 minutes, (the bruschetta). Took almost an hour to get the special, which was prime rib and 2 sides. Didn’t have the 2 sides we wanted, (sweet potato fries or ESH chips).
Seemed as though the hostess and the waitress seemed to be fighting.
There were at least 3 couples and a family that left before they ordered, because the waitress never went to their table after they were seated.
As we were leaving there was a couple talking with the hostess and I heard them say they’d never be back, because of the long wait and slow service.
I had to wear my jacket cause it was so cold in there.
The plus to the whole thing was that the restaurant interior was nicely decorated and female’s bathroom was neatly decorated and clean.
All that being said, we will not be going back.

We had the Sunday lunch buffet. The brisket was excellent. The fried chicken was way over cooked and very dry. The service and the other food was very good, especially the fresh fruit. I’d go back if l was in the area.
