Inside Ellie’s walls, we define simple pleasures. Ellie’s first opened her doors in the winter of 2012 as Ellie’s Bakery on Washington Street. This tiny 7-seat bakery aimed to serve fresh breads, unique pastries, and unparalleled hospitality. Ellie’s quickly became a part of the neighborhood. In 2019 we moved to 225 Weybosset Street. We aim to be a soulful eatery that serves as a gathering place for neighbors and a place of rest for visitors. You can start your day with freshly baked pastries and coffees, keep the day going with a wholesome lunch, and settle in for the evening with friends for a glass of wine and a slice of cake. We can’t wait to serve you – thank you for joining us.

This is a great spot! The staff is extremely friendly and passionate about what they do. I have never done a French press and Helen who was taking my order took the time to completely explain the process to me and what makes it different. She later asked how I liked it and really seemed to be interested in what I thought. I also had the avocado toast and yogurt parfait. It’s a really great interior with plenty of room to do work or hang out with a friend. The pastries and baked goods looked great as well. Excellent spot in PVD!!

Ellie’s Bakery did an amazing job with our wedding cake and was wonderful to work with. We went to a cake tasting and knew from the start that we were in the right place. Stephanie was professional, detailed, and thoughtful with the planning process- she made everything easy on our end. Our coffee and mini cake tasting was an amazing experience. We had a tough time picking a flavor because they we all so delicious! Our wedding was on Block Island and the Ellie’s team went the extra mile to have someone deliver the cake on the boat (in not so great weather) and make sure we were taken care of on our wedding day. We can’t recommend Ellie’s Bakery enough to anyone planning a wedding in the Providence area.

Cute place to get coffee and pastries. We popped in and tried a bunch of different things. The tomato jam on our sandwich was interesting! I really enjoyed the coffee. Clean restrooms, lots of seating indoors and out.

Ellie’s is the place you want to visit for a superior start to your morning! The pastries are exquisite, handmade deliciousness. Be sure to try the cinnamon bun and croissants. The coffee is excellent and the London Fog tea latte is delicious!! The service is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. You’ll have a relaxing start to your day while enjoying the comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and genuinely look forward to returning the next time we’re in Providence.

Ellie’s Bakery made our wedding cake and it came out amazing!!!! They actually did two flavors for us one was espresso martini and one was champagne funfetti and they could not have been more perfect! The whole process was so easy and Stephanie was so great to work with! We had so much fun at the cake tasting and Stephanie helped us pick out the perfect cakes. Cannot say enough good things and highly recommend them for your wedding cake!!
