Ella’s Grill is such a friendly, amazing, hidden gem in Illinois. Me and my aunt went here and we were immediately greeted with the smell of fresh cooked meats and sweet pastries. I wish I knew the waitresses name because the service was incredible! She had dream catcher earrings and a black flower in her hair. She greeted us as soon as we came in and throughout the entire time we were there she was very efficient and always smiling! I got the Country Skillet and it was incredibly tasty with creamy gravy and such good potato’s! The coffee is super good as-well and the orange juice was super tasty. When we asked for the check the kind waitress gave us a warm smile and a piece of candy as she thanked us. As we left the cook thanked us as-well and was very nice to us. I couldn’t recommend this place more and it is now my new favourite breakfast place! Thanks Ella’s Grill!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Nice, newly built, clean diner right off of hwy 41. They make really good cheeseburgers and fries. They also have a coffee machine to make cappuccinos, lattes, etc.. Also if you sit at the bar, you can see your food being made in the kitchen. Will come back again for dessert!

We’re in from out of town and was looking for a place to eat. Google said this place was open until 8 PM and we walked in at 6:45., all the like were on and doors open. Was told that they were closed and we were pretty much ushered outside and told to go elsewhere. Not very friendly at all

We had the best breakfast here! Visiting from Montana for our son’s graduation from Navy boot camp, and Lena’s was the perfect breakfast spot to visit before the big event. Our server Teri was an absolute delight, and really took great care of us.

So the waitress here was very nice and the food was decent but there was an older man in there the whole time who I think was the owner that just made the whole experience weird. Was just standing there and wandering around. Staring at everyone and just overall creepy. Think he finally sat down at one point but by that time we were finished. Not sure what was up with that.

Have been a regular here since they opened, and have taken many friends and coworkers . The staff is very genuine and the food is amazing!! Well worth stopping by if you are looking for a great meal!!

that mom and pop restaurant that needs to stay open. friendly atmosphere, great food. I did only have breakfast, but they serve lunch as well. I do wish they had turkey sausages though.

I’m not sure giw this restaurant was rated 4. (whatever) but that is incorrect. The people are sweet but the cook should not be allowed behind a grill. Everything i ordered came out at different times. Eggs, pancakes and the grits were like sand. Just disgusting.
