Oh my gosh- truly, actually the best burger I’ve had in years. The salad was fresh and springy; my 7yo ate it all. I tried one of the light beers (endless summer, maybe?) and it was the perfect complement. It was one of those meals that you walk away from feeling very satisfied in belly and heart. We were in town for a loved one’s medical thing and this just hit all the needed spots.

We went in for maybe an appetizer and a drink before heading back to camp. They had fish and chips on the menu which prompted him to get that. I decided I’ll try a burger. One bite is all it took. It was juicy and charred to perfection. It was hands down the best burger I had ever eaten. I was not that hungry but felt compelled to eat the entire burger. I did and haven’t stopper talking about it since. Amazing food.

Hands down the best restaurant near State College. We moved to the area from the PNW in 2024, and we have had such a hard time finding restaurants that are delicious, and cozy. The farmers markets in the area are incredible and the folks at Elk Creek are closely connected to their producers, and their chefs do the wonderful local ingredients justice – which cannot be said for other restaurants in the region that preach their farm to table connection. Every meal we have had here has been spot on, perfectly seasoned, and such fresh bright vegetables and delicious meat and seafood. This place is truly a gem, so thankful to have them in the area.

We showed up with 8 people (4 kids) without a reservation on a Friday night before a Penn State home game. Not only did we get seated quickly , but we were treated with extreme friendliness and the food and drinks were great. 100 out of 5 stars.

This place is fantastic. I’ve been coming here almost weekly for years.

The food is great. It’s not always a huge selection but they use as much local products as possible so a lot of things are seasonal. They are always on top of the social media pages to post the current offerings. There’s always good vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options too, which has always made them a go to for visiting friends and family.

The beer is great too. They have 6 regular beers with a wide selection. The rotation beers are always my favorite. Typically traditional style brews and better executed than other local breweries.

The events are the best. They get great musicians in with a mix of free and ticketed events. Wendsday night trivia is what we come for. Hosted by Jay, it’s always a good time.

Truly delighted to find such a fantastic brewpub in a small town! Elk Creek showcases cozy environment, friendly service, outstanding food and most impressively, excellent local bands.

We went on a Thursday around 6:30 to see a performance. The place was about 80% full with front row tables still available. We ordered a salad, roasted shishito peppers, and fish & chips. Everything was delicious and made of fresh and high quality ingredients.

There’s no cover but do bring cash to tip the band. The concert was fantastic. Seeing the crew perform with such passion just made the whole experience much more enjoyable.

Will definitely come back again and again!

This restaurant should open as well in State College downtown. Every dish I tried was tasty and there were many kinds of beers and other drinks available.

On the weekends, there is live music and shows and it does get crowded.

I had been there a month ago with a group of colleagues as we would like to organize and event in this restaurant. I saw the duck nachos kn the menu but sadly, no one second me.

I went back a week ago and got the nachos and I was very fond of—specially—the spicy sauce.

We got the cauliflower salad (it was a hit) and many other dishes such as chilly, putin, etc.

Food is OUTSTANDING! Pictured is the special of fried green tomato bennie with crispy potatoes. The flavors are amazing and the portion size is large!

The crispy potatoes are the BEST!

Great Bloody Mary using their own mix and really good beer selection.

Atmosphere is relaxed and hip.

You can’t go wrong in this small town! Make it a destination! Well worth it!

The staffs were very nice. They checked on us several times. The ambience was also cool.

We ordered the fish and chips. The taste was good. The sauce with the salad was incredible.

However, I would like a smaller portion at a cheaper price. Quite expensive place, 19 USD for a fish and chips seems a little steep (not to mention 28 USD salmon).

Went here with a friend to see a local artist perform; the food was good standard pub fare, there’s a nice but not overwhelming selection of quality beers (I had the copper ale and the pils; both were very good), and the music was great. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service attentive without being overbearing; the staff was clearly sensitive to the fact that everyone was there to listen to the music. It’s a bit of a drive for me so I don’t expect to go back often, but I will definitely return.
