Had a random stop here for dinner and it was one of the best meals we’ve had while road tripping the West Coast.
The oysters were so fresh, seafood chowder was delicious, and lamb rack was one of the best lamb I’ve eaten. Lava cake was crispy on the outside and soft and fudgy on the inside.
The service was also friendly and very nice! Highly recommend – we’re thinking to return just to eat the lamb again.

Have eaten, there a couple of times first time. I had duck, which was very good. Second time was lambshank extremely bland and very disappointing.

Stunning, I preferred my husbands steak meal more than my linguine. His chips were lovely and hot and tasty. We had cold James Squires ginger beers. The service was brilliant, definately left a tip. The restaurant was probably the best place in town to eat and exceptional for a restaurant in a country town. It was very popular and there were lots of people in there and a pool for the hotel guests

I visited Eljays Restaurant on February 5, 2025, at 7:00 PM, and was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service. The staff were professional, attentive, and responsive to every request, making our dine-in experience truly unforgettable.
The food was outstanding! We ordered the Bruschetta, 300g Porterhouse Steak, and Chicken Parmesan, and each dish exceeded our expectations.
The restaurant’s atmosphere was clean, tidy, and welcoming. I firmly believe Eljays Restaurant is one of the best in Esperance for its style.
What truly sets them apart, however, is the friendly and approachable staff. Their warm smiles and enthusiasm made a significant difference to our overall experience.
Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the Chicken Parmigiana ($35 AUD), which was reasonably good, delicious, and well-presented. The staff were friendly and respectful.

Another great experience! The food was delicious, and the value was excellent. The staff were professional, friendly, and communicated effectively. The atmosphere was lovely, and the dishes were well-garnished. We had the Bruschetta, a Bowl of Chips, and Chicken Parmigiana. Looking forward to returning next time I’m in Esperance.

Delicious meals in an unsuspecting place! Food was so good I went back for a second meal during my time in Esperance. Tried both the red snapper and lamb shank, both delicious! Friendly staff and good service!

Kids chicken tenders weren’t that tender, my son said it is crispy chicken was a lil bit hard and dry.
Staff are friendly and accommodating. Overall we had a good time. Spacious inside and not crowded for Saturday night.

The food here is divine, the pork belly is melt in your mouth on a bed of creamy mash potato. The cocktails are well balanced but the best part of our experience was the service, we were served by one lady who only works there part time and another who is normally on reception and had been called in to help. Both of these ladies were lovely and made the experience all that much better. Hats off to the head chef who joined us for a drink at the bar after the kitchen closed

My husband and I just had a delicious 3 course meal at Eljays. High quality food and excellent service. We recommend all courses we ordered: entrees were pan fried squid and seafood chowder, mains were rack of lamb and duck, desserts were creme brulee and panna cotta. Absolutely delicious. The cocktail was great too.

Did not expect this excellence! Absolutely delicious and stunning food. We had the Lamb Roll and Pork Belly. Main Meal prices do range from $30 – $45 but my goodness it’s worth it! Huge meals, tastes amazing and highly recommend for all! Our waitress was absolutely lovely, such a bubbly and enthusiastic person and I would like to wish the very best to their new trainee. Thank you for this unforgetable experience
