FOOD: Of the 3 dishes ordered, this review focuses on the Lobster Ravioli (Lobster Ravioli $11.99: Served in a homemade pink sauce). So…let’s get this clear, Lobster? Check. Nice…alright, now….ravioli? Mmmhmm…& w/ “homemade pink sauce” as the mystery flavor on this lobster ravioli? So…ok then. What is…”pink” sauce, exactly? I would find out a short time later. It appeared to be Elizabeth’s homemade marinara sauce w/ some cream & a light cheese blend mixed together in a pool of creaminess that can be eaten as a meal in itself…maybe a, bisque!?! Lol. It’s good, people. Plus, it was served w/ house bread & butter. I am not an expert nor connoisseur of breads & starches, but it was a light, Italian Bread which complimented the entree well. It served it’s main purpose as my scooping sponge to absorb Elizabeth’s pink sauce. That was my favorite combination of the meal. The pasta tasted fresh & as if it were made in-house. Maybe they have some imported in? Regardless, the pasta and flavor were nice. I only would have changed one of 2 things. I preferred a thinner sheet of pasta, nestled over the served lobster filling, so that I didn’t taste more pasta than sweet lobster meat….or, had more lobster filling to balance out the thickness of the rolled pasta. The lobster filling, itself, was good when I ate a couple of small bites with my fork but there were no lump pieces. However…this is $11.99, so I wasn’t expecting a ravioi w/ large bits of lobster, prepared by Italian chefs in Las Vegas. I understood that. The sauce was the best part with a smooth creamy blend of dairy into the marinara sauce. It was tasty. SCORE: 4 STARS!!
SERVICE: Shamir greeted my wife, son & I at the door, promptly upon entering. We were seated immediately, which was surprising due to it being Friday evening & the place was operating at full steam. The restaurant is also not tight…but it’s, cozy. Our server, Brittany (sp?) was pleasant, attentive & did well. When first asked what she recommended, she let us in on how it was just her first week so…it was time to just make our choices & gamble with our tastebuds. Lol. But overall, the service was nice & acceptable. SCORE: 4.4 STARS
OVERALL SCORE: Being that I ordered an $11.99 dinner entree, featuring lobster…and from a “Pizza” place, what else should I have expected? 🙂 I felt I received a good value. If the pasta is homemade, maybe shave back some of the ravioli’s thickness to make the lobster filling the focal point of the dish. But still, it was very good, a large portion & satisfyingly filling. That Pink Sauce y’all got going on there, is incredible though. I really enjoyed it. SCORE: 4.2 STARS!!
We arrived around 8PM and it was busy, however, we were quickly seated. My wife commented that they must have expanded as they now have a full bar with additional seating.
Our server was quick, nice, and had a fun personality. The staff were all wearing fedoras or other types of hats. I thought it was cute.
The food and prices are very good. We ordered the garlic knots as a starter and when they brought them out I was surprised at how large and how many were on the plate. They had a nice pleasant taste and I liked how some were crispy.
My wife ordered a pineapple pizza slice and a salad for dinner. She loved the pizza and salad. I was surprised at the size of the pizza slice. It was like the kind you get in NY on the street. It was definitely big. I ordered a pepperoni calzone for my main dish. It was humongous. I only ate half of it and I took the other half home. It was really cheesy and the marinara sauce was tasty.
Our total was not very much for so much food and the great service. This restaurant definitely has a lot of bang for your buck.
There is quite a bit of free parking out front and when I went to wash my hands I saw the bathroom was in good shape. This is a nice local spot serving quality food at competitive prices. I will for sure come back.
This spoiled my appetite and I got everything to go.
Too bad because Chris and the staff are awesome!!!
