Really enjoyed the atmosphere, this is a gem of a place. The portions are enormous, come out hot, and the food is comforting and well made. After the warm bread hit the table, we got clams, French onion soup (came with the meal! Choice of salad or soup), the beef tips over rice, chicken francese, and spumoni (definitely was not able to finish everything). Some highlights were the French onion soup, very flavorful and perfect cheese. The beef tips were also super flavorful and had an almost Asian flavor which was delightful. The spumoni was not what I traditionally know as spumoni but it was soo nice. The ice cream was creamy and good quality, the sauce was layered throughout with a variety of nuts and fruits, it was fantastic. Highly recommend and will certainly be back.

Grilled Chicken Salad and Chicken & Crab Franciase
Very good food, reasonable prices, good service.
Will definitely return for another group meal, we made reservations because there were 18 of us.
Some meals came out a little longer then others but, everyone ordered different selections and there were several other tables with other customers ordering as well.
Overall…

Very very slow service. I think it’s just the owner that does all the drinks, food order taking and the cleaning up. She never came back to our table to see if we needed anything. The husband does all if the cooking and again, its good food but 2.5 hours for a meal is too long.

4 couples went for Valentines Day. Was the worst experience at a restaurant ever and they weren’t busy! Took 30 minutes to get our drinks. NO EXAGERATION! Waitress couldn’t remember who got what. Then 2 dinners appeared while the 6 others watched them eat their steaks. Ours come out 1 hour after theirs. Weird! Chicken franchise was tough and the crab meat was the cheap suff not lump. Sauce was very yellow (not a normal looking lemon white wine sauce). Balsamic dressing was not mixed with oil so it was pure balsamic vin. Was So sour you couldn’t eat it. Overall, we waited 2 hours for bad food. Staff was nice but no clue. She couldn’t answer if the fries were fresh cut or frozen. Wow! Don’t go here!

The food is excellent and portions are large. Prices are reasonable. We were a party of 12. Our waitress was pleasant, friendly and efficient. As far as atmosphere, the area that we were seated in was fairly dark. Lights were only above one-half of the table. My food recommendations are based on my meal and those of my dinner group. In addition to the food listed in the questionnaire, the chicken parm, flounder, sruffed flounder, haddock, and Eli’s Steak are excellent choices.

The waitress was super sweet and on top of her game. Big pours on the wine so that’s a plus. The stuffed mushrooms were good. The stuffed shrimp entree was good. The chicken parm entree was rubbery and inedible. The Salads were super crisp and served on a cold plate. Rolls were good and served warm. The decor was outdated like most restaurants in the area. It was a little dark for my taste so the lighting could be turned up a smidge. Bottom line – even with a few positives, with one entree good and one entree very bad, sadly, we won’t be returning.

I called this place to ask if they sell fried ice cream and the lady that answered said “ we sell fried everything, what do you need ?” And I replied that I am calling to ask if they sell fried ice cream that my daughter had a craving for this and I was not sure who sells in town. She replied “ well your daughter is not going to have it, have a good night” and hung up. Never calling again !!!
