First timmers at Eli Branford. It has a very good family restaurant atmosphere. We where greated quickly and cordially. After only a few minutes the waiter (excellent service) started to take our order.
To start we had the “Point Judith Calamari” (Lightly fried, lemon, Marinara) $16.00; Nachos (Tortilla chips, white queso, pulled pork, pico, jalapeño, cilantro lime crema, pickled onions) $18.00. Both very good, especially the Cilantro line cream.
We will try the “Philly Egg Rolls” and “Crab Cakes” next time around.
For entrees: “Smokehouse Burger” (Cheddar, American, bacon, ranch, BBQ, lettuce, tomato, crispy onions, brioche) $19.50. The meat was a bit dry.
“Penne a la Vodka” (Chicken, tomato cream, caramelized onion, vodka, parmesan, basil) $24.00.
“Cajun Alfredo” (Chicken, broccoli, roasted peppers, caramelized onion, garlic, parmesan, penne) $24.00.
“Shrimp Scampi Linguine” (Shrimp, blistered tomato, capers, spinach, white wine lemon butter, parsley) $26.00.
Big portions for each one of these plates that we had to take more than half.
With four soft drinks the total came around $140. Worth it.

Ordered food for delivery and of course the staff doesn’t know how to read and missed the order notes completely to NOT put that nasty sauce and pickles on my burger. Everything i didn’t want in the burger. Why am i paying this price for this burger if the staff isn’t even competent enough to pay attention. You had ONE job!!!!!

I’m not from the area, so this review is from a while ago and based on one experience. I went on mother’s day weekend and the place was embarrassingly dead. They had Pho as a special on the menu and I ordered that because it’s one of my favorites.
What I got in no way resembled Pho in the slightest. Not only that, it was just a horrible soup in general. I forget what my GF ordered, but I didn’t want to eat that, either. And I’m not picky by any means.
I see their food is as bad as their beer in Manchester. Had I know they were owned by the same entity, I would have gone anywhere else for lunch.

This was our first time eating at the Eli’s in Branford, but we’ve visited the one in Hamden a few times so we knew the food was going to be great! The eggroll sampler is a must, and they just have some of the best American comfort foods on the menu. Obsessed with the loaded croquettes and burger we had which came with fried provolone and and vodka sauce! The eggplant parm was a gorgeous stack, the Mac & Jack was super flavorful, and the spinach and artichoke dip was great too. They have a great selection of drinks to choose from, and they even had some new seasonal ones on there like the pumpkin spice margarita. The food came out quickly – we were in and out within an hour and were very impressed by that! Everything was clean, and the staff was attentive.

Lila at Eli’s absolutely rocked her job! She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. She checked in on us regularly. Her customer service was top-notch, and it really made our dining experience special. We felt like we were in good hands with her taking care of us. Can’t recommend her enough! Eli’s is lucky to have her on the team. If I ever go back and I will, I’m requesting Lila!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Eli’s Bar in Branford, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The Watermelon Strawberry Burrata was surprisingly delicious—such a unique and refreshing combination that I wasn’t expecting to enjoy as much as I did. The Chicken Parm and Chicken Florentine were both absolutely amazing with a nice flavor. To top it all off, I tried the locally made Eli’s Pilsner, which was a great complement to the meal.
Our waitress, Maria, was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the evening. She made sure we had everything we needed and added a warm touch to our dining experience. I highly recommend Eli’s Bar for anyone looking for great food, a cozy atmosphere, and top-notch service!
