Our server was amazing, wish I caught her name. Food was good, perfect for an afternoon out. Had the cheeseburger deluxe on their homemade bread. Super delicious, cooked perfectly! Sides were good too. Homemade pie was delicious! Choice them a try. Quirky atmosphere.

The best place to go for home cooked meals. Don’t forget to leave room for a piece of one of their home made pies. Lemon meringue is my favorite

It’s been good experience. Had egg salad sandwich which was awesome and quantity wise it was double of what my usual diet is but because it was delicious so I couldn’t resist myself finishing it. Also my group ordered one dish from their specials which was good. Coleslaw was also decent. All in all this place is perfect for light and quality food. Service is good.

Stopped on a ride through nj – ordered Elias burger and fish and chips. Tried the pies blueberry and lemon meringue! They were yummy. The fries were good. The bread was really good. It’s made at the restaurant as are the pies. My burger was killed even though I said rare 3 times. The food was brought and the waitress never came back soooo I ate the burger. They never asked if we wanted another drink. Not sure if was just the tent service since covid and they are discombobulated and things take longer or this is how they usually are.

It is a cash-only business, but we were on vacation so we were prepared for that. We weren’t prepared for poor service. We came right at the change of shift, and somehow fell through the cracks of service. There was a waitress who was leaving, and she obviously cared, as she came over several times before she left. The younger waitress was apologetic in her words, but she didn’t really check on us, except when she brought our food. I ordered a cup of beef barley soup, but she brought the potato soup and then didn’t come back to check. The other waitress fixed it. The food was good, though.

Excellent, I had the meatloaf w/sweet potato fries, my girl had cheeseburger. Started with a great beef barley soup. Very reasonable price, fast friendly service. Back again, had Philly cheese steak, Nancy again had burger.

Semi-cabin atmosphere with solid wood booths & Tiffany style lamps. Friendly staff, quick service & good food. This is a small place that is popular with the locals. Highly recommend.

Returned for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Had the fish filled on homemade bread, which was excellent. She ordered the burger deluxe with the best ever sweet potato fries. The food & service is excellent.

I’ve been eating here for over 28 years, and I have to say that it is certainly the taste of home, American style. While the normal fare isn’t necessarily anything special, the baked goods including pies and breads made in-house are fantastic. I believe that this place could become next level if more attention was paid to quality and locality of ingredients. I’d love to have a meal here where all ingredients were sourced from the garden state, or at least the tri-state area. I have very fond memories here nonetheless.
