We’ve driven by this place for YEARS and finally stopped in to try it. I think it’s the decor outside…they don’t quite fit with the restaurant theme, but those large white horse statues are unique. My daughter called it “Coco” once we got inside because it had colorful flags hanging inside the building. Even though they did not have crayons or a child’s menu, they were extremely kind to my child, ensuring her they would look into it. We had beef tacos, cheese enchiladas, and the kids nuggets with fries. The fries were crispy and the staff were accommodating with all the sauces being requested. We did not have any adult beverages, but we will be back to try more things on the menu. The menu prices were reasonable and our tacos were crispy. Honestly, love their chips!! I love to dip the chips in the sides of beans and rice and their chips are thin, crispy, and superb. We went through two baskets!

Best food in the middle of nowhere! Food was fresh, wholesome and delicious. Like all the best restaurants are, lowkey, family owned, and a gem in their community. Service was superb, kind, and great overall. Exactly what I’m looking for when in a rural area craving Mexican food.
As for the review before – there’s enough professionalism in the world, can we get back to being just humans please? Not pretending to be something other than we are? Food is about sharing with family and friends, food is the core of our communities, it’s how we connect. I don’t want a business deal kinda dinner I want to see happy people sharing their love of food and culture. 10/10

Had an early dinner today. We ordered chili rellenos, chicken fajitas, and a side of refried beans. // The service was very friendly, but not professional. // IMO, the refries are canned, no flavor. The rellenos didn’t have much flavor either. The fajitas were very good. // The skinny margarita on the rocks was pretty weak.
So, this place has a lot of potential. I did notice that their clients were ‘older’, so maybe the reason for lackluster flavors. But there is a difference between lots of flavors and lets say spicy. Even just adding seasoned salt. I felt the chips and salsa come from a package as well.
The restaurant was very clean, great parking, good location. This restaurant should be bringing in Roseburg residence.
Thank you for your time.

Very disappointed in the food had no favor at all. Customer service sucked. I had to ask for water. Should have gotten it when we got chips and salsa. No one ever came asked if we were doing okay if we needed anymore to drink. Then you want me to tip you. When I have to ask for things. I did tip but not alot. Because I feel you need to do your job.

The amazing horse sculptures still exist from the previous White Horse Coffee Company that existed in this building before “ElHorse.” Our food was worth the wait for a delicious charred pineapple filled with deliciousness, Fajitas Mixed with steak and chicken, and a combination of a Chile relleno and a ground beef enchilada. Food was served piping hot. Salsa was very tasty and good service.

The combo plates were great! The shredded chicken was seasoned well, the tamales were excellent, prompt service and huge portions. The salsa they serve with the chips wasn’t great, but it was free so didn’t mind that. Our table of 4 all left full and happy!

I ordered the fish tacos, they were very tasty. I prefer the grilled fish tacos rather than fried. They were packed full of fish too. And I’d recommend getting the side of beans and rice- they are very authentic! Good price too.

Really good Mexican food! I had a carnitas burrito with beans and extra cheese and it was absolutely perfect. My girlfriend got a beef and bean burrito and said it was so super yummy and flavorful. At the end of the day, highly recommend for lunch or dinner. And their Mexican lemonade (for those who don’t know.. margarita on the rocks in a regular cup) is perfect and fairly strong.

I’d heard good things about this place, but really not a good Mexican restaurant. Chips lacked salt, salsa was closer to enchilada sauce than salsa and the entrees were very blah.

This is my go to place for chili rellenos. Everything I’ve eaten here has been wonderful. The homemade items are delicious. The staff are the most friendly anyone could want. I certainly recommend.
