This is an interesting little store that has local produce along with a restaurant and bar. The bar has a large selection of beer available. The food was tasty for the price, it just took a bit of time, however they were slammed.

Great selection of bombers. We ordered an Epic Double Barrel Big Bad Baptist and Real Alex Magnum Trux. For appetizers, we ordered the Truffle Parm Frites which came with a side of aioli. And for an entree, I ordered the Rise and Shine Burger and Pear Gorgonzola salad. Both were pretty good! But the salad didn’t have any gorgonzola, so that was a little misleading 🙁 Really charming place.

Nice atmosphere to go and have a nice brunch with some girlfriends, not somewhere to take little ones. Very cramped isles make it hard to maneuver through. Great selection of nice wines and beers. The produce selection is small, I go occasionally to get new veggies, but that’s it. Nice staff, but there is a long wait time for your food. The lunch is pretty good, portion sizes are about average for the price. Overall, I wish this would have stayed true to how it was in the beginning when I could bring my kids, but it seems to have gone a different way.

The burgers were delicious. They claim to carry 90% local food. Fries looked like they were previously frozen. Burger and fries with drink was $12. I had a Thai squash soup and 1/2 salad with tea for $9. 50. Salad was fresh. House dressing lacked flavor. Soup was delicious. The service was poor. Only one waitress for whole restaurant. One lady left because they forgot to put her order in. We got our drinks after our meal. Decent place if you have to eat out.

Trip with my husband to pick up feed from Coyote creek farm and we asked for a good place to eat. We were recommended here, and we ordered the Spanglish and my goodness it was the best breakfast sandwich we have ever had. This place rocks! Next time we are in town definitely stopping by again. Loved it!!

Tasty food slightly over priced, but quality ingredients. Wait staff isn’t on top of their game in that they leave you at your table after they’ve given you food so pretty much if you were to have something wrong with your food, you’d need to flag them down. I also kind of prefer getting refills without having to ask. Their cakes are awesome and insane the good Rich filling sweet. Not much food for little ones if they’re even slightly picky eaters. Cheese plate cheese plate cheese plate.

We’ve had breakfast & a light dinner here, plus coffee & in house baked cookies. Very good food, a little inventive, good coffee. I appreciate accommodations for gluten free eating too. Cozy, casual environment. Our only fault is with a rather slow kitchen, in our experience, but the food was worth a wait.

We’ve been going here since we’ve moved to Elgin, and the food is always delicious. The servers are always friendly and the place has a very calm laid back atmosphere. The service is very slow, I think the longest we’ve ever waited was an hour. Everything is a little over priced as well. I like that everything is for sale but more recently they had less stuff out than usual. But it kinda gives the store a stuffy feel. Other than that I always enjoy going here.

Unfortunately I had 3 bad experiences here. I’m not one to judge a single trip to a restaurant. (Everyone has bad days). However, I had slow service and only a glass of wine my first trip in. Then on my second visit during breakfast time there was no service at all. After 15 minutes with my menu flat on the table in front of me I finally left. The last time I visited I sat up to the bar thinking service might be better for an individual dinner there. I ordered the mussels. Not only was the service terribly slow again, but I got violently ill. I will not be back.

This place is really good. Second night in a row we have been there. Great service. Great food. It does take a while for food to come out. Also try their flourless peanut and chocolate cookies!! To die for!
