I am not a vegetarian but I ordered here everyday during my trip to Evanston. The food is absolutely delicious. The salads are so rich with different ingredients of different textures and flavor. My favorites are the fried cauliflower, the fried tofu and the sweet potato fries. The smoothie is also very fresh.

I live on the far north side of Chicago and frequently order from elephant + vine’s Evanston location. Since switching to a plant based diet a year ago, this is one of the few restaurants I enjoy. I’ve had several different items on their menu but my favorites are the eleburger and tator tots. A close second is the buffalo chik’n sandwich. They offer the option to ‘make it your way’ so you can customize how you want your food prepared. The prices are fair and they often have deals when ordering through the app. Delivery times are usually much quicker than the estimate so you’re not waiting too long to receive your food. I did have a mishap when one of my delivery orders was missing an item and it seemed like nothing would be done after I called to report it. However, the president of the company emailed me and apologized and made things right. I appreciate the hospitality and customer service I received. The way he addressed the issue was more than fair. I won’t let one mistake overshadow what’s usually a pleasant experience which is why I chose to update my review.

Black bean burger was filling and well balanced. Love the red onion that brings the burger taste to the max.
Buffalo cauliflowers were slightly breaded and fried accompanied by carrots and a light ranch sauce.
Thai salad yum the tofu was perfectly crisp topped with very fresh ingredients pulled together by the Asian vinaigrette.
How cute is the little note.

Like another reviewer said, this scratches the vegan fast food craving well! We’ve gone here and ordered in several times- our favorites are the cauliflower wings, the Buffalo Chick’n sandwich, the sweet potato fries, and just tried the jalapeño impossible burger- soooo good. Endlessly grateful for the modification options and ability to make many of the items gluten free!!

Elephant and Vine is a fantastic healthy pro-animal fast-service restaurant. Support them. However, for $4.75, their french fry portion is 50% too small. Please increase fry portions. And for $1.75 to add avocado to burgers, the two small slivers of avocado were also 50% too small. Please increase avo portions. Also, the burger buns were stale. Please rotate/toss old/stale buns. Everything else was tasty, healthy, and ethical. Thank you E&V!

We always love Elephant and Vine! Great food and service is always expected. We recently had a bad experience with Doordash. The Dasher canceled our order saying the restaurant couldn’t provide the food. I called and I was helped by Ariana!!! What a wonderful experience it was speaking with her. She helped us soooo much!! Her customer service skills are amazing Low and behold, our food was there waiting! (I called Doordash as well). In the end, everything worked out because Ariana went out of her way to make sure I received a refund! Very grateful and thankful to you, Ariana! Food was wonderful as always. Thank you 🙂 The cookie was delicious!

This is our favorite restaurant for a quick and fun family meal. Our kid loves the Ele Burger kids meal with the impossible burger. Their burger and french fries rival McDonald’s non-vegan counterparts. We also always order the BBQ Cauliflower wings and the yummy fountain drinks (orange cardamom, strawberry dragon fruit, and lemonade!). The milk shakes are awesome too!

As soon as I walked in I was greeted with great customer service! I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and was it delicious!!! I also was able to get a plant based cookie. Very moist and taste like the real thing. Will return! ☺️
