love everything here! Super strong flavors and love the unique take on tom yum fried rice, yummy fish custard with rice (homok pla, which we tried at the financial district taste of thai select food festival and loved it! From chef patty) pad thai, crunchy chive cakes, and papaya salad. great service and attentiveness from our server, Kay! Will definitely come back

We had lunch at Elephant District in Dumbo and honestly really enjoyed it. The location is great, but what stood out to me was the space itself — fun, bold and with lots of personality.

We ordered the Crispy Calamari, Thai Curry Puffs, Lobster Pad Thai and the Jumbo Dumbo Steak. Everything was flavorful and nicely presented, but the mains were definitely the highlight — super satisfying and packed with flavor.

We finished with the Mango Sticky Rice and tried a couple of cocktails (Sri Mala and Rumpan), both fresh and easy to drink.

Overall, a really solid spot for Thai food in Dumbo. Good vibe, good food, and somewhere I’d happily come back to.

Elephant District was an amazing dining experience. Our server Kay was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. The food was just as impressive. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced, the branzino was crispy and flavorful, and the mango sticky rice was the perfect sweet ending. Beautiful presentation, great flavors, and excellent service. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot for Thai food lovers.

Elephant District is such a beautiful Thai spot. The presentation is stunning — orchids, banana leaves, and dishes served in real coconuts made everything feel special. The lobster was fresh and sweet, the grilled steak was juicy with a great char, and the skewers were full of smoky flavor. The mango drink was refreshing and not too sweet.

Great atmosphere and City is a very friendly server! She is very detail and organized. Perfect for date night — will definitely be back!

Walking in we were greeted and welcomed. Kay took over and was so friendly. She was very patient describing the dishes and helped us put our order together. The lobster was succulent,
Prawns and green mussels were tasty. Everything was nicely seasoned. We were treated with dessert since we were celebrating a birthday. Thanks Kay!!

May have been the best Thai restaurant we’ve been to. Will definitely come back. Our waitress City was very nice. Beautifully decorated restaurant too. Highly recommend to anyone.
Had the Pad Thai, Seafood Curry, the mango chai tea. The Pad Thai noodles had the perfect texture and flavouring and came with two large prawns which complimented the noodles very well. The curry included some of the most juicy, well-cooked scallops we’ve ever had; not to mention the most delicious big soft shell crab. The mango chai iced tea
was so well-balanced; flavourful but also not too sweet, and didn’t know mango could compliment chai so nicely.

Thank you Elephant District for making my 31st birthday fantastic! The sparklers on my cake was the icing, so kind of the restaurant to add that to make it more special! The food was authentic and had the perfect amount of spice level, especially since I can’t handle any spice Thank you for being able to accommodate a party of 16! The staff were beyond sweet and kind, very patient while waiting for the whole party to arrive etc. If you love Thai food definitely try it out! Will be coming back for sure ☺️

Came here with my BEAUTIFUL girlfriend for the first time and loved everything from the drinks to the food and the service.

The best drink on the menu is the Sri Mala – mango and pandan make it a delicious and perfectly balanced cocktail. Although we didn’t try everything, this drink alone is so good we’ll be back to try the rest of the unique and tasty drinks.

We ordered the Moo Ping (pork skewers) and Som Tum Thai (papaya salad) for starters. The pork skewers were perfectly cooked and the papaya salad was refreshing with the right amount of spice. We also ordered the Crying Tiger Steak and the Sam Praya (seafood trio curry). Steak was cooked nicely and the nam jim sauce was a wonderful complement. The curry was very light and flavorful, soft shell crab was so crisp and clean – we wish we took a photo but the food was so good we couldn’t wait! The scallops and shrimp were also perfectly cooked and garnished with fresh peppercorn.

And of course we had to end the meal with the mango sticky rice. Everything was so delicious but the service, especially Kay, made the experience even better…. The mango on top if you will.

Elephant District — Brooklyn
Lunch l $$$

Elephant District has the kind of polished ease that’s immediately disarming. From the moment you step inside, the room feels warm and composed—stylish without being showy, inviting without trying too hard. It sets the tone for an evening where details matter.

The food arrives beautifully presented and confidently flavored, each dish balanced and thoughtfully executed. Freshness is evident across the menu, and the kitchen shows restraint where it counts—letting quality ingredients speak rather than overwhelming them. It’s the kind of cooking that feels considered and quietly luxurious.

But what elevates the experience from very good to memorable is the service. Our server, City, delivered hospitality with rare finesse. Warm, intuitive, and genuinely attentive, she guided the meal with spot-on recommendations and impeccable timing. She seemed to anticipate needs before they were voiced—water glasses never empty, transitions between courses seamless—creating a rhythm that felt effortless rather than orchestrated.

City’s presence brought a sense of calm confidence to the table, allowing the evening to unfold naturally, without interruption or pressure. It’s that subtle, almost invisible kind of service that defines truly great dining.

Elephant District succeeds where it matters most: excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and service that understands the art of restraint. It’s a Brooklyn dinner destination worth returning to—and one you’ll find yourself recommending without hesitation.
