Reviews
The fish and chips was fantastic (there’s no shellfish in the restaurant, so it was also safe to eat if you have a shellfish allergy).
The Sunday roast was also delicious, and the horseradish aoli delightful.
Aisling was our waitress, and she was fantastic.
Prices are very reasonable. We will be back.
I would recommend the old fashioned all day. The pretzel bites were on point and the cheese was great. You will have cheese left over, pro tip, save it for your fires which were awesome.
The wife and boy got chicken fingers and they were cooked perfectly. Crispy outside and juicy on the inside.
The atmosphere is what you want from an Irish Pub in Boston.
After walking the city looking for a bar to watch the World Series, I found Elephant & Castle glowing warm against the night. The staff were kind and set me right next to a TV. My waiter showed real hospitality, checking in often without overdoing it. The food was great and the crowd made the game even better.
They hated the Dodgers so much they started cheering for the Blue Jays instead, which honestly made the night more entertaining.
Praise the Pub.
The atmosphere of this establishment is incredibly cozy. My only minor complaint has to do with the service. While my food came out very quickly, it took a while for someone to seat me and to get a check.
I will be back!
Wow. Pub atmosphere, but 2 people for a meal for $40 in downtown.
Full English breakfast was just that. 19 bucks for a filling, delicious breakfast
My companion had the Sunday roast for 17, and it looked great. She loved it and it looked great. This is a back pocket location for my next theatre visit.
There weren’t many patrons in the restaurant. I arrived around 100pm and was 10 minutes early for my reservation. The hostess at the front desk greeted me with a smile and brought me right over to a table. She also grabbed water for me. It took awhile for me to be acknowledged by a server though. Perhaps they were in between a shift switch. I wasn’t in a rush anyway, so I wasn’t bothered by it. When my server came over, she was very friendly and checked in on me a few times during the course of my meal. Overall I felt the food, prices and service were all reasonable. A few things could use minor improvements, but overall I enjoyed it. I will definitely return a second time as they have a great menu and I’d like to try other items on their menu!
The restaurant is within easy short walking distance of the Orange/Blue line State Street T station.
