Fined here since 1994, a few hills and valleys throughout the journey, however for the most part, we are returning annually, so that speaks volumes as to our dining journeys at the Little Nell, Aspen, CO. Truly an amazing ‘wine book!’

Element 47 at The Little Nell really delivered. The hot chocolate absolutely lived up to the hype—rich, legit, and worth every sip. Service was on point, the vibe is classy without trying too hard, and the whole experience just feels right. Highly recommend if you’re in Aspen.

If you’re looking for a cozy place to sit and do work or just relax post skiing then Element 47 is for you. I love sitting by the fire and getting the hot chocolate. The staff is always friendly and the people watching is great.

Ate here twice for breakfast on our trip in Aspen. First time we had a great waiter, he was super friendly and amazing, very attentive. The second time our waiter was terrible. Took forever to come get our drink orders and then took forever to get us our coffees! She forgot to bring out the complimentary muffins which is our favorite part of the meal as they rotate them everyday & they are always delicious. My dad asked for extra tortillas with his meal and didn’t get them til way after he was done eating. My parents asked for coffee refills and she barely gave them a refill, the cups were half empty. She disappeared at the end of our meal and we spent forever trying to flag someone down to get the check for us because our waiter never showed back up. Maybe she wasn’t feeling well or was having a bad day but the service was really bad. Love the food though, it’s my favorite place in Aspen to eat for breakfast. However I didn’t like the blueberry sauce that came with the pancakes it tasted like it had gone bad. Great orange juice, great bacon, eggs, potato cakes, & excellent muffins.

Out of all the places I’ve been to so far in Aspen, every single plate was phenomenal. The atmosphere was perfect! Our server was fantastic in recommendations.
The bread rolls they serve before the meal are quite dangerous. They are addictive and delicious. I had the Grilled Gem Lettuce, perfectly smoky with refreshing flavors. The wagyu beef was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. It was seared to perfection and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The smashed potatoes were great for a side for two people. Desserts were great as well.
Literally everyone LOVED their meal– duck, lobster salad.

I am, by no means, a culinary expert. I like good service; I like a great vibe; and I like food that tastes good. These are the reasons why I love Element47.
Let’s start with the drinks. Every drink our group ordered was well-made, tasty, and also reasonably priced (for a town that can often be unreasonable in that regard). The attentiveness of the waitstaff ensured that our glasses never fully emptied.
Where Element truly shined, though, was the dinner service. We ordered an array of appetizers and, while all were good, a few were absolutely exceptional. The steak tartare was some of the best I’ve ever had and the tuna crudo was equally impressive. Although it isn’t technically an appetizer, the mushroom agnolotti was one of the crew’s favorite bites of the night.
Entrees were also sublime. The duck was cooked to a perfect medium/medium rare. The wellington melted on the tongue. And the Cross Creek beef? I think that may be the best steak I have ever had. It beat any Denver steakhouse, any Boulder eatery, really anything in the state. It was cooked precisely to my liking and had incredible flavor and an amazing crust. The sides were awesome, as well (I think we tried them all!).
Although we were all full by the end of dinner, we had to try the creme brulee. As expected, it did not disappoint. Beautifully plated and super tasty.
TL;DR – 11/10 ambiance, drinks, and service. Some of the best food in Aspen.

Element 47 delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is elegant and comfortable, with a true luxury feel that fits Aspen perfectly. The service was attentive, professional, and made us feel genuinely welcomed.
The food was outstanding — beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients, and the attention to detail really stood out. The wine list and cocktails were excellent and paired perfectly with the meal.
This is a top-tier restaurant and absolutely worth the visit for a special evening, celebration, or refined night out. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back.

This was such a wonderful location to spend his birthday. Everyone and everything was just amazing! The duck and white asparagus were so delicious. For his birthday we were given a complimentary glass of champagne along! Just the sweetest time and we are looking forward to returning to Element 47. We stayed at Little Nell Residences so even the breakfast from Element 47 was spectacular! Fresh juices to live for! Only complaint I have… I can’t leave more than 5 stars this review! Thank you all for the experience. Great birthday dinner.

A friend wanted to try this place with me and so we did, it is easily one of the best restaurants in town. I will have dreams about the Element 47 hot chocolate for a very long time after hearing about it forever and finally trying it myself. It is so decadent but not too sweet, the perfect drink treat on a cold snowy day. I also had the eggs and toast and chicken sausage, it was pretty good because I was trying to stay healthy but I’m sure their other breakfast options are also amazing. My friend had the avocado toast and a side pastry and both looked divine. You cannot go wrong here, just go here.
