Tried out this little restaurant and I was really pleased with the food and experience. The facade is subtle but the food like its name is electric. I’ve tried different pho restaurants and they all tend to serve the same dishes and flavours that are familiar. With Electric Piggy it was a pleasant surprise and their menu items were exciting, making you want to go back and try different dishes each time. We had the Crispy Chicken on Hai Nam rice and it’s like hainanese chicken with a bit more spunk since it was a fried chicken leg (instead of boiled) with flavourful rice. The small soup was a bit salty but the pickled vegetables balanced the flavours.
For appetizer had the fried spring rolls and it was delicious..serving portion is more suitable for 4 people though and too much for 2.
The Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef and pork noodle soup) was spicy enough but not overpowering and the lemongrass soup base was done just right, not too salty nor greasy. The pork hock meat could use more marinade.
The ambiance is warm and cozy but it can get busy so reservations are recommended on Friday nights especially for large groups. Seats are mixed between actual seating and picnic benches (due to previous set up by previous owners). Overall, highly recommend the restaurant for chilling with friends or small family dinner. Will definitley go back to try other items on their menu!

Can’t explain how delicious the food is here!! A group of us went here spontaneously one evening and left full and happy!! Their shrimp appetizer was out of this world and the Bone Marrow Pho in Satay sauce was to die for.. I also got the Bone Marrow sizzling plate which came with a bun that was mouth watering and just came out of the oven!! Will definitely be back here very soon! The fried bananas with coconut ice cream was also phenomenal

My son & I went dinner on a Sunday night. We didn’t make reservations, so the only spot they had only at the bar. Although it was quite small space, but I loved this experience that I could see bar tender to make the drinks. We ordered Fried chicken in mashed potatoes, the chicken portion is very big and it is crispy outside & juicy inside. So delicious that we ate all of them . Mashed potato is so creamy and I dipped chicken to eat which is a perfect combination. We also have beef brisket n ribs. Unbelievable big big big portion, we couldn’t finish them even though they are super tender and yummy. The Thai Iced milk tea was too sweet that we not really liked. Other than that everything so delicious, I must go there again to try other food next time.

Visited Electric Piggy in Markham during the holidays and had a great experience. We made reservations in advance, which I’d recommend since it does get busy, especially around lunchtime.
The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and everything was tasty and beautifully presented. The menu offers a southern BBQ twist on Vietnamese classics — highlights for us included the calamari crunch, spicy soy butter shrimp, Dan Dan noodles, pho with brisket and bone marrow, lemongrass beef vermicelli, and the crispy chicken hai nam rice.
The location is easy to get to, though parking can be a bit tight during peak times. There are about a dozen spots in front and additional parking behind the building. The restaurant isn’t large, but it’s cozy and well‑designed, with extra seating available on their enclosed heated patio. Service was friendly and efficient even as the lunch rush picked up.
They also offered holiday‑themed drinks, which were a nice touch — the hot chocolate with roasted marshmallow fluff and the iced Vietnamese coffee mocha were both excellent.
Overall, a great spot for flavourful food, friendly service, and a festive atmosphere. Booking ahead is a good idea, especially if you want indoor seating or a spot on the heated patio.

We had a fantastic dining experience here, relaxed vibe, and the service was excellent—very attentive and welcoming.

I tried there marrow pho – the broth is really clean with the marrow it makes it have nice flavour.
Tried there Mussels too they are fresh but prepare to handle spice it has a good kick

Cute spot for casual dinner and good food. The seating is pretty limited and kinda cramped though. Staff was friendly and service was pretty quick on a Friday night

This is one of those places you go to for the vibes. “Electric” is the appropriate word for this place. Youthful, energetic and fun. The concept is phenomenal for a night out with friends or a date night to chill.

The presentation is built for insta and the dishes are fun and creative. My least favourite was the pasta dish and my favourite was the bon bo hue.

Came for my 26th birthday and these are the dishes I ordered, listed from most to least liked:

– Brisket
The soy butter shrimp made my eyes widen so big because it was truly the best flavours ever. They perfectly deep fried the shrimp so when eating the skin, it melted in your mouth rather than the powder-like texture shrimp skin becomes. The prawns were large, juicy and paired so well with the sweet, nuoc mam butter loaded in garlic.
If you would like to try durian for the first time and are scared to commit to a $50 fruit, this butter is a perfect way to have a taste. It’s light, fluffy and extremely sweet on these cloud like buns. I ordered more to go because they were so fabulous.
With a Thai milk tea that was splendid, not too watery, the bill was $85.00. Bring cash! Debit is also accepted.
