I absolutely love this place so much! Tonight was my first time coming, and the amazing owner(the lady) told me about the family history of this mom and pop shop! After about half an hour, she sent me home with a free cookie, stickers, and ice cream from my dog! Very family oriented and we both have a huge passion for animals, the ocean and of course mermaids! This mermaid will be coming back soon! Thank you for the amazing conversation, I can’t wait to chat soon! The ice cream is delicious! ❤️

The marionberry cobbler a la mode is super delicious! We also had a cookie, a special chocolate cookie she made thay day, and a hotdog. They did an amazing job restoring the building and gave it a unique homie feel. Thank you for keeping Taft traditions alive!

The absolute best marionberry cobbler in the entire world! And you’ll never have a better cookie. Everything looks great here so something new to try every time! A great place for pictures too. What an adorable and fun place, a marvelous stop in Taft. It’s part of Lincoln City history and charm. Next to a few other little shops too and glass blowing. So walk around, enjoy a sweet treat and say hello to Vickie & Tom! We need more of these businesses in our county, come support local and enjoy divine and delectable sweet treats and coastal fun!

This ice cream shop is an absolute gem. Amazing service and the food is top notch. The owners are real people with a great story. I encourage you to grab some ice cream and stay a little while to learn about the family history of this business. Make sure to bring cash as they do not accept cards or digital payment.

Amazing ice cream sodas! We tried the Siletz Bay Sunset and the Taft Beach Bliss and they were both amazing! When we walked up we were greeted by I believe the owners who were extremely friendly and so sweet. We had a wonderful experience and are excited to come back to try their cookie! Definitely grab something here before you go walk the beach!

Fantastic ice cream! I got the classic mint chocolate chip and the espresso chip flavors. Both were creamy and flavorful and the chocolate chips tasted like real yummy chocolate. Owners are nice people who were sweet enough to give my dog a little ice cream for his birthday. As a solo traveler with a pet, I so appreciate the walk-up window! Cash only & they were patient enough to wait while I ran up the block to get cash at a nearby ATM.

This place is Lincoln City history and nostalgia at its finest. The family that owns it are fantastic and would love nothing more than to tell you about it. In fact, when you walk in the door, they’ll greet you and ask you if you’ve been there before. If you haven’t, they’ll give you a quick run down of their history and what they’re known for. They’ve been running this little charming place going on 50 years!
What about their food? The must haves are the fries and special sauce. Their burgers are pretty decent too. But most people come for the ice cream! However, I discovered something even better than ice cream upon my most recent visit. I tried one of their homemade crumbles ala mode: caramel apple walnut with vanilla ice cream. It. Was. AMAZING! For $6.75, it was worth every darn penny and tasted homemade. I was halfway through stuffing my face before I realized I’d better take a photo of it! GREAT. Now my mouth is watering just THINKING about it. They also had a Marionberry crumble which I’m definitely going to try next time.
In addition to the dessert and ice cream, there’s a small gift shop area and for the kids a mini-arcade. I’d recommend checking out the crane game
Finally, little places like this have their quirks and Eleanors is that they only accept cash and check (with proper ID). They’re also only open until 5 PM.
So make sure hit the ATM beforehand and ABSOLUTELY make sure you order the crumble when you visit Eleanors. It’s a long lasting little secret nestled in the south side of Lincoln City.
