Had an amazing dinner at Eldorado Cafe in Austin! The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the corn ribs, which were bursting with flavor, and the Mole Enchiladas were rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced, easily one of the best I’ve had.

We also tried two mocktails, a mango one and a tamarind one, and both were incredibly refreshing and so well made. Honestly, they were just as memorable as the food.

A huge shoutout to our waitress Claudia, she was truly awesome! Every recommendation we ordered was suggested by her, and she absolutely nailed it. Super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, she made the whole experience even better.

Loved everything about this place and would highly recommend Eldorado Cafe to anyone visiting or living in Austin. Can’t wait to come back!

Eldorado Café never disappoints — the food is absolutely delicious every single time! From their flavorful dishes to their warm, welcoming atmosphere, you can tell they put heart into everything they do.

Even more impressive than their tasty food is their generosity. For two years in a row, Eldorado Café has given back to Padron Elementary School, supporting our students and staff in such a meaningful way. It’s amazing to see a local restaurant that not only serves great meals but also invests in its community.

Thank you, Eldorado Café, for filling our bellies and our hearts!

On the recommendation of friends we gave ElDorado Cafe a try. Be prepared for a wait. We waited outside and enjoyed chips, salsa and beverages. Once seated our waiter promptly took our drink & food order. We ordered Dart Bowl enchiladas and Rene’s Awesome enchiladas. Both were good. Sadly the Sopapilla Cheesecake was sold out. The restaurant is small, is nice and has an Austin electic vibe. The staff were nice and attentive. There is first come bar seating.
Overall good food, good service, but a long wait (we were a party of 2, waited over an hour and a half for a table). Their site does have a reserve a table option. If you have the time, are craving some solid Mexican food, and good adult or mocktail beverages give them a try.

We had a reservation yet the table was a curved corner for party of 7. We were very uncomfortable in our corner diamond shaped booth. The salsas were great thus the 3 star for food. Rest all was pretty a ok kind of fare. The carnitas plates for $23 with oil dripping meat floss kind of meat( barely two chunks of meat rest all was just oil soaked meat floss) was not only sad but a disappointment thankfully the server finally showed up to ask how was the food and I got a replacement meal but it came too late all our party had already eaten. It was not a great first visit. As i had to come home and eat my meal. The server did not even ask for our desert orders. It was sad.

Holy smokes this place is so great! So so glad we made it our supper club stop tonight. Our 1 hour 10 wait was only 45 minutes. I had to go with the nostalgia dart bowl enchiladas (RIP Dart Bowl) and the Purple people eater. 10/10 love love love! Must try!

Very chill vibe. Authentic Tex mex. Drinks are average but food is good. Nice place to hang out with friends. The service is nice and the servers are very friendly. They make sure that the guests are comfortable and the orders are served as fast as possible. Interiors are nice and has a very Texan country vibe. They also have a few tables outside where you can wait and order drinks to start with. Overall this is a nice restaurant. This was my third time here.

We visited for dinner as a party of 3 (2 adults and a toddler). For drinks we got the Purple People Eater (cocktail) and La Loma Lindo (mocktail). Both we very basic and pretty disappointing tbh, there was barely any alcohol in it. We also got the Shiny Ribs and Papas Rellenas for appetizers. Both were extremely good and I highly recommend it.

We went on a Saturday so I got the Barbacoa Taco (deal of the day?), Thunder Rosa Taco, Too Hot to Tot (veg taco) and Grilled Chicken (kids meal). For dessert we got the chocolate pistachio Bundt Cake.

Overall, our food was excellent and service was great.! Drinks were disappointing tbh. Upon seating, we got served a basket of chips, and we ordered guacamole with it, it was a bit spicy and perfect!

Found my place nearby for good Mexican food. Went in for breakfast this morning and sat at the bar. Joaquin was a great bartender. I had a nice drink called “purple people eater” its an Empress Gin based cocktail with blackberry juice among other things … it was so good I had to have a second one! The migas was delicious had a bit of queso and white cheese on top. It was served with black beans and papas. Their papas has regular and sweet potatoes and is really good. I will definitely go back soon.

Make sure you reserve a table in advance if you don’t want to wait 30+ minutes. Food is amazing! Their free nachos are amazing if they’re hot, but that usually only happens half the time. Their second spiciest salsa is THE BEST.

Only 3/5 stars for service though – it’s very busy, and I think they have servers spread out a bit too thin. Takes a while for servers to notice the need for drink refills, etc – not their fault – they’re constantly working hard, but I really think they should probably have one more role or lesser tables per employee.
