This place is a fantastic find! It is welcoming from the outside in! From the coffee, to the lemonade, to their bakery items, it’s just a wonderful place to visit. The service is top notch. Can’t wait to get back here to try a few more things! Check them out ASAP especially for their fall options!!

Absolutely loved our visit to Elder + Oat. The ricotta chili crisp toast was flavorful and creative, and the raspberry lemon muffin was perfectly tart and sweet. I had the cold mint coconut matcha latte refreshing and smooth. My wife enjoyed the hot lavender honey latte, which was comforting and balanced. Great vibe, friendly staff, and truly unique menu. We will definitely be back to try more. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy something beyond the usual coffee shop fare.

The bakers here change up the pastries which is so fun. The custom breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Their earl grey tea was delicious as they steep it for you then pull the bags before adding milk/sugar. Worth coming back often.

I don’t live in this area anymore, but I love coming back to Elder + Oat when I’m in town! The ambiance is so nice, it’s a great place to meet with a friend for a coffee or to get some work done. I’ve only been here a handful of times, but each time the staff has always went out of their way to be friendly and helpful which is rare to find these days, especially at a coffee shop. All of their food and baked foods are made in house, and a lot of their syrups are made in house as well. Today I tried the peachy dream iced latte, I told the barista taking my order that I wasn’t sure if I would like it but wanted to try something new since I’ve never had peach mixed with coffee. She insisted that if I didn’t like it for any reason to simply let me know and she would make me something different. She was so so kind and genuine. I appreciated that sentiment so much! I ended up loving the peachy dream even more than I would have thought. I just love this place and I’m so appreciative of the kind people who work here and make it such a pleasant experience! If you’re in this area, be sure to make the stop, it’s worth it!

The best doughnuts and scones in the suburbs of Chicago! Their cappuccino and espresso are top notch as well! Parking is in the back and the vibe is laid back, friendly, and heartwarming. Get over to Elder + Oat for coffee, doughnuts, scones, and bread today!

Really cute and comfortable coffee house. We had the elder & oat latte, and a turtle latte. Both were delicious, and not too sweet. Also had three pastries – apple cider donut, lemon poppy muffin with lavender glaze, and a brown butter pecan scone. Yeah, we were hungry. All were good but our favorite was the lemon poppy muffin. The one minor complaint is only one person working – it was a Tuesday morning and the streets were quiet (not many pedestrians), so the order process took a bit. However, she was very friendly and efficient at making the drinks. Great shop & highly recommend it!

5 / 5 stars doesn’t even do this place justice. I have travelled all over the nation, been to probably hundreds if not thousands of coffee shops and this place is the best by far. Not even a question. And they are CONSISTENT with the flavor each and every time!!!! I leave with my taste buds blessed whenever I stop in for their coffee. Whenever I travel to northern Illinois I will go out of my way to stop here multiple times. Absolutely worth it. If you are reading this review and are debating checking the place out, GO. IT IS SO WORTH IT.

Such a cute and cozy coffee shop and bakery located in downtown West Dundee. Love the friendly and relaxing vibes as soon as you walk in. They have a board games and kids activity stuff to keep the little ones engaged.
We tried the ginger bread latte, golden milk & honey latte, egg and cheese breakfast biscuits and freshly made donuts. Everything was made with the freshest ingredient and they have gluten free and vegan options as well.
They are open daily from 6:30 am till 2pm on weekdays and 7- 3pm on weekends. Check it out and enjoy delicious coffee, pastries, and more.

I visited this place first time as it was referred by someone. It was worth.
Very homely atmosphere. Nice Christmas decoration. I was very happy to see that many customers and staff was in ugly dress . It looked interesting and entertaining.

I ordered Italian Buttercream sourdough and brown-butter pecan scone with elder +oat latte.
I also tried garlic + rosemary focaccia with pesto sauce. Everything was amazing
