I’ve been driving past this place everyday for the last year and just recently stopped in and haven’t stopped since. I am always greeted when I walk in and the women are super helpful. My first time she explained the entire menu to me and all the options. Even told me what bagels just came out of the oven. And when I tell you it was UNREAL I mean it! Egg and sausage sandwich on Asiago was so fresh and so tasty. I’ve gone a handful of times since and ever single time I walk out in a better mood. Elaine’s has amazing bagels and their hazelnut coffee is unmatched. You got yourself a regular. I recommend this place to anyone!

Staff was very friendly. These bagels are definitely just rolls with toppings on them and more expensive than many other shops in the area. Skip this shop and go to somewhere else to get yourself an authentic bagel.

Edit: I am adding some stars because of Katie. She reached out and even provided me with some complimentary bagels. Despite a couple negative experiences (before those I had MANY positive experiences here), I will be back because of this employee. It shows that they still care and that’s worth another visit. Thank you to Elaine’s for reaching out and making it right.
Update: Nothing has changed, except the quality of the bagels aren’t as good. The same girl from my original review is still the face of the restaurant every morning. No issues in these reviews have been addressed. Such a shame what this business has come to be.

This would be a 5 star review if the young woman who works weekday mornings wasn’t there.
I come here at least twice a week. She is ALWAYS on her phone, today she had a conversation my entire visit. She literally didn’t say a word to me, I told her my order over her conversation and the same thing at the register. I’ve also witnessed this same girl touch my bagel, then cash, then someone else’s bagel, then cash, then mine off the toaster WEARING THE SAME GLOVES.
Please address this issue and make this a 5 star place again, this review isn’t based off of one bad visit.

If these are boiled before baking I will eat my hat. Doughy and soft on the outside instead of crusty and chewy on the outside. I’m 70 and I know an authentic bagel when I eat one and these are not it! AND btw, got charged $3.25 for a 12 ounce coke. WOW, no price posted so I guess you can charge any amount you want. My purchase was today, August 14, 2025..

I drive by here every week day for the last 5 years, today stopped by for the first time this morning. The bagels are so soft and delicious! You can taste how fresh they are. They have a few flavors of cream cheese to pick from as well. I’m so mad that I waited so long to try this place!!

When I lived in NYC a bagel shop as good as this had a line out the door every morning. And it was worth the wait. I love these doughy fresh huge bagels! Thank you for catering my special event so amazingly and for being the best bagel shop in the Midwest !

Popped in after my chiropractor appointment. The person who helped me was friendly, quick, and happy to answer questions and offer suggestions. The breakfast bagel and iced caramel coffee I had was delicious. I bought scrumptious looking blueberry muffins too. I’ll definitely be back.
