We went for lunch on a weekday. It was hot inside the resturant, Im normally cold everywhere but there was no airflow, I was sweating. I got a chicken burrito with beans and rice and it had no flavor! Service was good and prompt. After this being my first experience, I would try it once again at a different time of day during the week or weekend to see if they were just having an “off” day when I was there but wouldnt be in a rush to try again soon.

The food was delicious. The only problem was I placed a takeout order and the serving was not even worth the cost. There was absolutely no meat included with the rice. Well there were like two pieces of meat, two pieces of chicken and two pieces of steak. Now they’re chopped up small. So for $14.95 I basically paid for rice. They’re not whole pieces of chicken or steak and there were two small shrimp.

Update: I took service down to a 3 bc after checking on me only once after my food was delivered, my waitress never came back. Another waitress had to check and ask me if I was OK after being ignored for at least 10 minutes.

El Ximador is hands down one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always delicious, fresh, flavorful, and consistently amazing every single time! You can truly taste the care that goes into every dish.
The staff is just as incredible as the food… Very friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wonderful people who make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in! And the owner? Simply the best! So kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do, which shines through in every detail of the restaurant!

First visit to El Ximador with friends after Church Sunday.. restaurant was crowded but we were still seated quickly.. service was excellent but the food was even better.. ordered ‘Texas Fajitas’ and was served so much we took enough home for another meal.. already planning our next visit.. if you go with family or friends..you’ll feel right at home..!

Horrible! I am sorry as I usually do not leave negative reviews but….this was the worst experience with a Mexican food restaurant I’ve ever had anywhere!!
The food had zero flavor. .none. No Mexican seasoning of any kind..so bland we had to put a good bit of just salt and pepper on it to have some seasoning. They forgot some toppings on my simple order of 2 beef tacos. No seasonings or sauces or hot sauce on the table. The table looked somewhat dirty or unwiped fully when we sat down as well. The salsa had zero flavor as well for the chips. The waitress did not smile at us or act happy to wait on us or engage with us at all and could not understand her very good as I think her English was pretty limited. And she never came back to the table once the whole time to ask if things were ok or if we needed anything! And then when the bill came, I had ordered something simple off the A La carte area for my Mother as she doesn’t eat much and, they had charged a full entree price for my Mom’s meal instead of the price for the item I actually ordered. When I questioned it, she said something to the effect that it was cheaper to do a lunch special than the Al la carte items. So she made that change without asking us!!
I was really unhappy with the whole experience. Flavorless food, small portions for the price, bad service, and messed up bill at the end! And she did not ask if we needed change when I laid thd cash down for thd bill. She just took it with no smile or Thank you or anything and walked away! So, definitely go somewhere else if you are in the area and want a decent Mexican food experience!

The food tasted fresh and wasn’t overly salty like most restaurants are serving these days. The salsa actually had a little kick but wasn’t very hot and the guacamole tasted like it had been made within only a few hours. For a little constructive criticism, I would have liked a little onion (or a little more if there was some) in the salsa, and the chicken in the California burrito, while perfectly cooked in that it was very tender, could have used a touch of Mexican seasoning (no extra salt though—that part was perfect).

UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES: Firstly, the food was great. No issues there. The only reason this restaurant is getting one star from me is due to their policy that servers have to pay for food that is sent back to the kitchen. When I sent my meal back to the kitchen, the manager informed me that the server would be charged for it. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should a server have to cover the cost of a meal that is sent back. That is WAGE THEFT. Wage theft is a CRIME in the state of Georgia. I sincerely hope and strongly recommend that the owner of this establishment reconsider this policy. It is abusive, unethical, and against the law.
