The michalada was in a crazy barrel cup with gummies and taffy covered in spicies. Its was super good. The food portions are beyond generous. Shrimp tacos, chorizo chicken and beef. Filled up and still took home enough food for 2 people.

Authentic, delicious food in a great restaurant atmosphere. This is a wonderful local spot had excellent customer service. Everything was neatly packaged and thoughtfully prepared, complete with all the necessary utensils and sauces.

Been wanting to go here for a long time, since I’m right in the area, and I’m glad I did this past Wednesday night . It’s a good spot for a date night, but can be a bit pricey, depending on what you order. The good food & fresh ingredients are worth it though. The portions are very hearty as well, & you WON’T go hungry. Overall, it had a very and relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend.

I would describe this place as Mediterranean Mexico. The vibe definitely wasn’t Mexican. There was what I would describe as Mexican club music playing in the background. We were asked if we wanted chips and salsa. We said yes and asked for table side guacamole. The didn’t offer that only prepared guac, which was delicious. The salsa was weird. It reminded me of marinara – maybe cooked or out of a jar. It was ok but not what I expected. Also they charge for the chips and salsa which are normally complimentary in my experience. We both ordered spicy margaritas. One arrived mulled with pieces of jalapeno evident at the bottom of the glass the other one had a piece of jalapeno floating in the glass. The shrimp tacos we both ordered were good. Service was ok, the place was clean as was the restroom.

Just stopped by the Army Navy store next door and decided to have a bite; my goodness was I surprised. The service was on point. Mango margarita was perfect and the fish tacos tasted like something you find on the roadside on the PCH, succulent, melted in my mouth awesomeness. I’ll drive the hour to come again.

Wow! Great food and value. Jose the owner and bartender was a pleasure. The drinks especially the mojito was delicious! Went during happy hour where some drinks were $7. Street corn yummy! Our entrees were packed with flavor. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Used to live in Mexico City for many years . and when i found this place i was so surprise by the quality and flavors of the food and drinks. jose the bartender and the whole staff was very attentive . i spilled my margarita and jose gave me a new one right away . so i really appreciate it . i will come back again . kudos to el volcan .

El Volcán in Pottstown is an absolute gem for authentic Mexican cuisine! The food is divine—every bite bursting with flavor. We started with the tortilla soup, and the crunchy tortilla in every spoonful was perfection. I had the Fiesta Mexicana entrée, and it was incredible—the enchiladas were packed with flavor, the steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy, and the shrimp were amazing. My boyfriend had the quesabirria tacos with a side of shrimp, and he couldn’t stop raving about them. Portions are just right, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and even on a busy Saturday, the service was excellent. The drinks were delicious, too! Highly recommend this spot for a fantastic Mexican meal.
