Reviews
El VieJon Mexican Grill & Cantina is hands down one of McDonough’s best-kept secrets. It’s the only Mexican restaurant in McDonough serving a full breakfast every single day, and they absolutely get it right.
The pancake sandwich is next level — fluffy, flavorful, and unlike anything else in town. Their omelets are easily the best in McDonough, made fresh, loaded with ingredients, and cooked perfectly every time.
But breakfast is just the beginning. Their Mexican food is just as impressive. The tacos are authentic and packed with flavor, the fajitas come out sizzling and fresh, and the burritos, enchiladas, and quesadillas are generously portioned and perfectly seasoned. Everything tastes homemade, not rushed, and you can tell real care goes into each plate.
The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is friendly, and the food is consistently excellent. Whether you’re craving breakfast, lunch, or dinner, El VieJon delivers quality, flavor, and value every time.
If you haven’t eaten here yet, you’re missing out. This spot deserves way more attention — a true hidden gem in McDonough.
To the restaurant . A tip. If you use shrimp for both dishes , prep shrimp in lime juice every morning or every other morning, cut in butterfly and when needed for ceviche ,chop it up. (Keep in cooler in a sealed container) discard after 3 days , only make enough for 2/3 days
I hope you all take my advice and although I’m hesistant to order again I will and hope to up my review! Trying really hard to support you guys.
1. All of the hot sauces and sauces are fresh and they are delicious! The salsa verde is incredible! This has to be a chef owned restaurant just judging by all the attention to details.
2. Our margaritas were made with fresh juiced oranges. They have a machine behind the bar that juices oranges.
3. The tortillas are hand made and taste very authentic. First time for me!
4. Chicken no matter how it’s made is very juicy and tender.
5. The menu has a wide range!
I urge everyone to experience this restaurant. They have only been open for three months but we will be back!
