I had the Nachos Supreme. I asked to add onions since it isn’t listed as part of the ingredients. There weren’t any onions added.
The staff is unfriendly ( I don’t know if they only like people under the age of 40 or 50).
Our waitress was incompetent. We were a party of 5, very polite, saying “please” and “thank you”. I asked for water for the 5 of us, then 1 person in our party asked for water. The waitress brought 2 glasses of water. We asked for water for the rest of us. She FINALLY brought 2 more water glasses, but not a third glass out of 5. We had to ask bus people and the host for extra plates and napkins.
The staff is under qualified, under educated and poorly trained to work in a restaurant.
Good service is NO LONGER THE STANDARD.
Restaurants want to have “self-service in order not to deal with “the public”.
Unfortunately, the generations “coming up” in this world will be settling for sub-serviant service.
The football team left with full bellies and smiles on their faces! Thank you Carlos and the whole team!
After being seated our server took our drink order (water only) and brought them out quickly along with a serving of salsa and chips. The water was pretty neutral which is always nice, the chips were lightly salted, had good crunch, but didn’t have much corn flavor. The salsa had a medium complexion, but was weak, tasting more of tomato than anything else. Our order took about 15 -20 minutes and was plated nicely. The grilled vegetables were very good as they had good flavor, texture and were cooked at the right temperature. The beans were also pretty good. The guacamole was firm and had decent flavor and complemented the other vegetables well. The slice of tomato served with both meals were not good as they were probably of the hot house or hydroponic variety. The enchiladas were nearly flavorless and all 3 (beef, chicken and cheese) had the same texture. The green chili sauce was slightly sour and had no real chili flavor. The cheeses used for the cheese enchilada were very mild and had very little stretch or creaminess to it.
The service was very good with our server checking in just enough to not be a nuisance and show good hospitality. The portions were fair in comparison to the price so there was fair value. The food isn’t going to offend many people, but I prefer Mexican fare that is spicier and more flavorful. This is a good, safe choice for families or anyone traveling through the area that wants a meal that isn’t going to be too heavy or too light.
