Friendly service and always busy. Newer menu it seems. I got the Birria because I love Birria. Came with a guac salad (basically a bed of lettuce with a small scoop of guac and diced tomatoes with some sour cream) and a small little cup of consommé. Birria was double wrapped with small street sized corn tortillas but we’re not really crispy. Usually you have a nice char that crisps up on the grill. No where near the amount of meat compared to other Birria places in town. The consommé however was flavorful and very good, just wish there was more of it. Probably won’t order again.

I love giving my honest opinion on places I go to El vaquero was one of my top 3 places I love to go. But this experience just kind of put a bad taste in my mouth. My daughter and I ordered and got our food fast but the lady forgot our sour cream which was no biggie, once we were out of chips and salsa she never asked if we wanted more. Which was no biggie to me. I ordered the steak fajitas got about halfway done and found a hair cooked into my steak and a piece of my green pepper looked rotten and made my food smell rotten I had to stop eating cause my stomach started to swirl. I felt kinda like if I would have said something halfway through my meal they would look at me wrong so I just bagged up my food and threw it away once I was home.

I placed an almost $100 takeout order with this restaurant. I waited 30 minutes beyond what the pickup time was for this order. When I finally received the food, the chicken was so tough that you couldn’t even bite into it. It tasted like it had been pulled out of the freezer and put straight onto the grill. Overall horrible quality. The steak did not taste like steak, but tasted like shrimp as if it had been marinated alongside shrimp? When I brought this issue to the attention of the manager, he argued with me saying it was “one of the freshest orders” he had ever put out. When I asked for a refund he blatantly told me he would not give me the refund, and did so in a very unprofessional manner. He said “yeah, no I’m not going to give you the refund”. He eventually did give me $20 refund, a small fraction of what I paid for a bad order. The refund was not my biggest concern, it was the unprofessional and arrogant attitude of the “manager”. Poor customer service skills. My family and I have been going to this restaurant for over a decade, and I have always enjoyed it without any issue. After this experience, I will never be back. This place has gone way downhill.

Not bad. Had a much needed Jumbo Margarita, Chicken Enchiladas with mole` sauce, house salad. $23.00 and change. A little pricey but the time alone was priceless. Service was good. Restaurant was clean. Seated myself. Waiter was very nice and professional. Nice, private location. Food good. The food was better than it was the last time I went a few months ago. Parking good. Will be back, for sure. Thanks for the peace of mind.

The NEW Torta was terrible! I had a Torta at a competitor a couple of months back and thought it was amazing so I was excited to see it on the menu. Do not order it! There wasn’t enough meat or toppings to balance out the bread. We used to love El Vaquero, but now it is meh.

This El vaquero is my favorite El vaquero. They work so hard and your food comes out FAST! every single employee I’ve had the pleasure of meeting there is amazing and very friendly. I love it in here so much that I wish I could go every day but I would have no money left. If you have never been to El vaquero, they have a large menu with something for everyone. I could order something randomly on the menu and absolutely love it. There is not a dish in this restaurant that I wouldn’t have. Everything is such a delicious flavor it amazes my tastebuds every time. Really, anyone can be happy here. They have the best queso and fresh chips, I have to get it every time. We also love their drinks, the jumbo margs are the best but make sure you can handle your tequila! Haha…I recommend the mezcalita too or something like that, it’s the margarita with mezcal. They have many different options so you can always find something you like a lot. I had an amazing time once again at my favorite El vaquero and I couldn’t be happier.

This healthy gem is in the cut behind McDonalds. The lighting is a little dim, making it hard to see the menu. However, the food is delicious. They have a variety of dishes and it is brought to your table quickly. Between 5-10 minutes you are eating hot food. Waitress was very nice.
