Came here several times for lunch. Was working out here in Alhambra for acouple of weeks. My uncle told me about this place ! The tortas ahogadas are so good . The tacos de barbacoa are good too! . Times i came i always got great service. Oh and I can’t forget the salsa roja is really good ! I’ll definitely be back again soon when I’m close by !

To be fair, I’m no expert on tacos, but these were amazing. The taste was refreshing and the meat as delicate as it comes 🙂 Got some for supper and just had to get more for breakfast on the next day 😀

I’d been going to the Mexican joint across the street for years and only saw this place last week, it’s hard to see and the parking lot is difficult. But inside, it’s a family-run place with the kitchen open to the dining area and twice the size. I’d gone in last last week for a nighttime taco snack and saw that they had legit Guadalajara-style food, including the Torta Ahogada. So I came back for lunch and ordered it. The young man asked if I wanted it spicy. Knowing that my ability to handle that has shrunk since I’ve become a viejo but wanted the true taste, I dithered and he said he’d put a little bit on. It was too much for this gabacho. I drank two hecho en México cokes AND four glasses of water before i asked for the cane sugar. It was traumatic! So yeah, It’s a great place and even better if you can handle the heat

My husband and I tried this place for the first time today. I was VERY disappointed with my torta. Honestly the worst I’ve ever had. It reminded me of eating a sloppy joe. The burritos were okay. Horchata was good and people were nice but I definitely wouldn’t come back.
