$1.50 for a great tasting cafe con leche make this my morning stop en route to my job sites. This also the absolute cheapest place anywhere for Spanish cuisine. Typically I’ll get roast chicken on rice with beans and plantains or yuca – $5.50. I happened to mention El Unico to my dentist and she said sh now gets a take out meal for her whole family once week from here. The decor isn’t 5 star dining but the wait staff are nice and the variety of dishes quite extensive

The five stars are for the food and the prices. Really can’t be beat. Under $5 for a fantastic Cuban sandwich and $1.50 for a small Cuban coffee. Could be cleaner and updated inside but thats not what this place is trying to be. Its like an old school diner inside. Great cheap breakfast, lunch or dinner. Daily specials and most meats are slow cooked. The added photo gives one an idea of how many sandwiches have been cut in half over the years. There are lots of Cuban sandwiches in UC. I think this one is the best.

El Unico is a great place for inexpensive eats. Good portion sizes and delicious! I eat there for lunch regularly and have even hosted events and used their catering menu. All my guests were impressed. Can’t go wrong.

The place may be tiny and uninviting, but dont let that fool you. The prices and flavor and food quantity are well WORTH everything. Besides, most people take their order to go. So take a chance on this little joint and you will be coming back as a regular. I promise. Everyone around knows this place.

Perfect place to get your food to go. Prices are a little higher now, but then again, so is every other place. It’s still affordable. Good food, though. 4 of us ate for $45 the other day including additional Caldo Gallego soup and a side order of Maduros and 2 shakes. I was full and that’s coming from a certified comelon. Pretty simple restaurant with good food , huge portions and very convenient prices. Definitely my go to spot for a lunch when I’m around the area . Atmosphere is very simple , environment is clean and staff is quick .

Can you believe this amount of food was only $3.50??!! That’s right, 3 dollars and fifty cents. That is unheard of these days. If you’re on a budget and in the area, this is a great place to go to. My food was a little bland, almost like it was cooked for a person with a low salt diet, but hey it was still good. I’ve been coming here for years and the food was a little better before but still edible.
