This restaurant is a wonderful addition to the Kent City area. The food is authentic and has robust flavors. I come from a family that makes authentic Mexican food so I can honestly attest to how great this place really is. If you like a lot of spice and flavors this would definitely be the place for you. Try the grilled tacos or hot and spicy burrito… those are two amazing options on the menu. Be warned though that the hot and spicy burrito isn’t for the faint of heart. Last thing to mention is that the food is priced well for the portion sizes that you are served with. You will not leave this restaurant on an empty stomach.

Very good food with a festive vibe. The portions are big and prices are great. Restaurant is very clean and roomy. I wonder why it isn’t busier when we have gone there. The Southwest Chimichonga is amazing and monster size meal. My Husband always gets the steak fajitas which is a plentiful meal!

We were so excited to get an authentic Mexican restaurant in town and they have not disappointed. Their service is always great for both dine in or take out. I’m not sure how anyone can compare this place to the place that was across the street, unless you like the smell of spoiled milk and kids running around with no shoes or shirts on El Tulteco is far superior. They have large portions and the food is so flavorful, we order from them at least once a week.

Worth the drive. I think it’s in the top five of all Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in the county (I’ve been to quite a few). Had to come back one week after the first time to make sure it wasn’t a fluke.
Wife and I have had the carne asada, the Tacos de Arrachera, and the Pollo Toluca. Arrachera was legit arrachera freshly seared on the gril. Avacados super fresh and a lot. Best chips and salsa in the area. Even the rice stood out above the rest… but the best of it all were the Charro beans. Pay a premium and substitute them for the refried (even though those are great too). Best I’ve had outside of Mexico and Texas.

Staff was very nice, food was delicious, booth was a little cramped, but it was very clean and nice. Definitely gonna come back again!! And I recommend getting the three grilled tacos, the pork and pastor tacos were very delicious, steak good too!

Best Torta I have had in the area. It was a different cinco de mayo menu thanthe usual menu and was a little pricy but worth it. They didn’t include what I came for on the menu but made it anyway!

High priced mediocre tacos. Pastor had a very pasty consistency. Needs to hit the flat top for a little crisp before serving. Tasted like it was straight out of a crock pot. Makes me miss the shack across the street.
