The food was authentic as was the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. I think that the primary host/server spoke English as a second language and others were still learning English, as our entire group are native English speakers it meant mostly simple exchanges, however, the service was beyond reproach and the quality and quantity of the food dissolved any concerns we had. We spent two nights in Albany and had dinner there twice just to continue tasting all we could of the options. I recommend the platters/combinations, this isn’t a burrito truck this is a restaurant.

Good service. No waiting. Appropriate ambience. Cold beer. Ample size drinks. Large meal portions. Refried beans were better than I expected. Rice had an interesting taste. The shredded beef and shredded chicken were a bit bland though. But all in all a pleasant dining experience.

I don’t know how I have past this place up for so long. Must of been the exterior colors but don’t let that fool you. The interior is amazingly modern with much better décor and colors. But the food is absolutely amazing with large portions and very authentic dishes not made like any other place in town. They offer some humongous platters but don’t let the prices scare you because it’s enough to feed 2 or 3 people. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants. And the people that are running it are so amazingly nice. I mean truly catering to you as if you were a guest in their home.

The restaurant is beautiful! Even the bathroom is beautifully decorated. I love the chairs and booths with all of The carved wood. The food was delicious. I had a creamy shrimp dish and it was very flavorful. I’ll be back to this restaurant for sure!

Delicious food! We’ve loved going here even before the current owners took over and thank goodness some of our favorites didn’t change (the chicken flautas). A few things did change (no more salsa verde) but nothing drastically, and they have some wonderful additions (El Trio Loco platter is amazing but huge!). Definitely give this place a try!
