From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The lighting was soft and calming, the seating was comfortable, and the overall vibe struck a perfect balance between cozy and stylish. The staff were incredibly welcoming attentive without being intrusive and they made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The menu offered a great variety of options, with something for every taste. I started with an appetizer that was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For the main course, the portion size was generous, and the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. Each bite was perfectly seasoned, and you could tell real care went into the preparation. Even the side dishes stood out Simple, yet exceptionally well executed. What really impressed me was the attention to detail throughout the meal, from the way the dishes were plated to how quickly empty plates were cleared. Dessert was the perfect ending rich, indulgent, and not overly sweet. The overall experience felt relaxed but refined, making it ideal for both casual outings and more special occasions. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good food, thoughtful service, and a comfortable dining environment. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

First time here. Cute little taco shop. My husband loved his Asada tacos and I had nacho cheese fries. Everything was delicious. Fast, friendly service.

No flavor, salsa goes from green water to red dynamite, meat texture was like they cut took all the good meat from the carne asada for themselves and left the tough parts for the customers. Nothing seemed to be fresh and the birria tacos were almost 4 bucks per taco with nothing good to comment on.

First time being here and visiting from the Pacific Northwest, best food they have and they don’t cut back on the spiciness

Good pricing for their food including their tacos

First impressions, homeless run rampant here so I will dock points for the atmosphere. Greeted the cashier worker, she said nothing back. The woman just stared at me with the epitome of RBF(resting you know what face). Come to find out she does not speak English. A simple ” I don’t speak English phrase” would’ve come a long way.

After paying with card, rather than finishing ringing me out and hand me my receipt, she simply walked away. I was in disbelief.

I received the food and it was average but the salsa was good.

Would not recommend this place until they address the staffing situation.

Escobar puts family love in all the dishes. The meats are marinated for up to two days , so they have the most flavor in all of Southern California.

A lot of 5 stars lately and this restaurant deserves it. I came on Sunday when they were making carnitas outside and we’re playing music. The beans & rice were spot on and of course the carnitas were hitting the spot. Tortillas were warm the service was great. The staff speak English and Spanish. Plenty of parking.

Wow the person below me is use to American food. I went in to try out the consome and wow was I impressed. I make my own and I’m not a chef but spent 8 years of my younger life cooking. So I have an idea of flavor, not to mention my mother-in-law is from Sinola. You guys hit it out of the park. Gonna bring my wife over this hungover weekend. Thanks to the owner for the free taco so bomb forgot to take a picture. Look at the places I’ve written reviews for and this is by far the number 1 spot in San Diego County and she doesn’t even specialize in Birria. See you soon.
