My husband and I came to the area to explore the beauty of WV and we don’t know much about the restaurant around. We took our chance to this place.
We had the $5 plate salad from their salad bar. The salad bar btw has so much to offer. One trip only but we put a lot on our plate, cheese, olives, corn bread and many more 🙂
I also ordered grilled chicken breast, macaroni and Latin rice. My husband ordered grilled chicken breast, cabbage with bacon and potatoes. Everything was good!!!

If I lived in Elkins, I would be eating at El Toro at least once a week! As it is, I ate here twice during my 3 day visit. Those two meals were definitely the best that I’ve had in a long time!
The Latin American food is authentic, fresh, and delicious! The owner/ chef is originally from Venezuela and takes pride in her cuisine.
My lunch on Thursday was pork cachapas with rice and black beans. Each item had a delicious, unique flavor. On Saturday, I ordered the Brazilian grill, which consisted of steak, sausage and pineapple served on a sizzling grill plate. It also came with one side, which was rice for me. I also added a one trip salad bar. This is definitely not your typical salad bar and had some unique offerings including cream cheese topped with mango sauce and mango slices dipped in hot spices.
The restaurant itself is spacious and clean. Servers were friendly, helpful, and efficient. I also got to meet the owner who was checking in with the customers.
If you’re visiting Elkins, don’t miss El Toro!

Went here with friends. Took over and hour to get our food but the food was decent when it did come. Really enjoyed the 3$ margaritas while we waited.

My first trip to El Toro and it was wonderful. The salad bar was really good, a nice variety of things. With a purchase of a meal, one trip salad bar is 4.99 and all you can eat is 13.99. My husband and I had the Torrestrella Platter for 2. You get two steaks, sausage and pineapple served on a grill. And 3 sides. We chose the Skillet Green beans with bacon, Yuca and a loaded baked potato. The steak was grilled perfectly and it was so tender. The owner did walk around and check with us on our food which was really nice. The waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was peaceful.
Our bill was $48.72. We had the platter for two with 3 sides, two one trip salad bars, a water and a sweet tea. Very reasonable price for all the food we got. Will definitely go back!

Went here the food was ok it was very mid for the price it was literally 68$ just for me my girlfriend and the baby they didn’t have mashed potatoes and there wasn’t even steak sauce at any tables. when I got my steak it was very chewy then the waiter was fishing for tips like I was about to cough it up after the price they charged. If you want you eat somewhere good that’s not overpriced I’d have to recommend Texas Roadhouse over this place any day of the week sorry guys get better didn’t even have the original steak I was going to order if you do order here just make sure it’s not steak because they can’t make it right

What a great place to have in Elkins! Very fresh food and friendly service. Sometimes they are out of certain dishes/steaks due to supply issues, but everything I’ve tried there has been great.

Our waitress Brooklyn was very friendly and quick! The Brazilian steak meal was absolutely delicious, and all the dipping sauces were top tier! Absolutely recommend this place to anybody that’s in Elkins you will not regret it!

We are all Brazilians spending the week in Elkins, we were very surprised when we found a place that serves Picanha steak. We were a party of 22 people and had a great time there. Our server and the cook lady are awesome – good people, fair prices, and good food!

Traveling from Chicago area and decided to have one nice dinner while in the area. We had the dinner for 2 with steak. Soooo good. We’re stuffed. Ask for the spicy strawberry sauce to use as a dipping sauce.
