Hear me out , when I first walked in and saw limited tables I was annoyed because every table was taken. However people left quickly everyone was minding of the wait, the bartender made the BEST margaritas!

The pineapple margarita was absolutely perfect — super refreshing, not too sweet, and full of fresh pineapple agua fresca (made in house, daily). My husband and I tried the chilaquiles with chicken, and they were honestly some of the best we’ve ever had: crispy, flavorful, and topped with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. And the horchata? Hands down the best we’ve tasted.
The service was amazing. All servers were welcoming. The atmosphere was warm, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic flavors done right!

A group of us stopped by after the Christmas parade a few days ago. Walking in we were greeted by the staff which made us feel welcomed. Our server was very attentive and friendly. However our food is what made us realize this was a real authentic Mexican restaurant. The tortillas are handmade which reminded us of our childhood. I got the chilaquiles with asada and an agua de pepino. The agua was very refreshing. Paired perfect with my spicy chilaquiles. The asada was nice and tender. My husband got the fajitas Texanas and he enjoyed it! I would definitely recommend to my family and friends. I will for sure be back soon to try all the other flavors of aguas frescas.

I pass by this place everyday on the way to work and have always wanted to try it, it was good but a little expensive for what you get. I tried the ACP, it could use a little bit more seasonings. I also saw that they had $1.50 tacos on tuesdays so i’ll have to come in to try those!

Fabulous food and service. Corn was prepared wonderfully with a hint of salt and sweetness. Shrimp taco had very complimentary tastes plus fresh shrimp- a nice pleasant surprise. Steak quesadilla was right on ! Beers flowed nicely. Wall murals and lighting were outstanding!

The carne asade burrito was great. The meat was well seasoned and the ingredients tasted fresh . On Tuesday they have 1.50 tacos which is very cheap and i tried the carne asada and the pollo and they were both very good. I did not like the barbacoa as much. Their spicy sauce is pretty good also. Everything we had at El Toro Loco was fantastic. The torta, gordita, elote, and carne asada fries were all delicious. The steak was tender and perfectly seasoned. I had a mojito that was really good, but the margaritas stole the show. My wife said they were the best she’s had in a long, long time (and we just got back from Mexico!). The place was still packed even though we showed up an hour before closing, but I get why – it was absolutely worth it. We’ll definitely be back.

Stopped by this taco place for takeout. The restaurant was clean, which is always a good start. The tacos were okay but felt like they were missing something — they tasted a bit Americanized and lacked the bold flavors you’d expect from authentic street tacos. The green salsa had decent flavor and helped a little, but it wasn’t enough to carry the meal. The burritos were the most disappointing — they were bland and really lacked seasoning.
Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but the food tasted bland and could use a lot more flavor.

My husband and I are from Chicago visiting and from the start walking by this place caught our eye, the smell from all the way outside lured us in! When we walked in we got greeted by Mariela, she was really sweet and welcoming. We ordered drinks, I had the Paloma and my husband had the tequila sunrise, drinks were definitely hitting the spot, I ordered the burrito and the carne asada fries, my husband had the tacos de Al pastor, and all food items were sooo tasty! Super super good, the burrito was packed with flavor and the melted cheese was so stringy, we loved the cheese pull. My husbands taco were so good, the Al pastor was not greasy and super tender, and the asada fries hit the spot. The cheese used on them literally had me in love, I am not a crazy cheese person but this cheese had me going crazy. They were super attentive and made sure everything was good for us. Super super good, definitely recommend!!!

I was welcomed politely by each person working when I entered. The space was clean and the lighting was great here. Lots of sunlight shined inside the restaurant. I dropped in after being downtown for a bit. I enjoyed two tacos here. A veggie (zucchini , mushrooms, onions and rice) and a carnitas taco. I enjoyed both tacos, as well as a fresh pineapple margarita. I was told the pineapple base for the margarita is made fresh in house and I could tell. A great experience here. The staff checked in on me and was very kind by engaging with me at checkout. I look forward to revisiting again soon, perhaps the 1.50 Taco Tuesday. A great value!
