The two of us went in for a quick lunch while running errands. It wasn’t very busy but the service was slow. We were halfway through our chips and salsa before our waters arrived. We ordered 2 Make Your Own Combos that come with beans and rice. 2 hard shell chicken and 2 hard shell beef tacos. They were just ok. Not a lot of flavor. The rice was good. The refried beans were bland. The chips and salsa were ok. We paid the bill and left before I realized the $10.25 lunch combo meal got charged as 4 hard shell tacos, 2 orders of refried beans and 2 orders rice. Everything separate. Not the combo. That added an additional $8.46 to our bill. We won’t be back.

A neighborhood gem. Plenty of drafts. Big menu. Daily specials. The street tacos were fantastic. Flautas were very good. The queso Blanco was a bit bland – could use a little something more.

First time here, ordered cucumber jalapeño margarita and tortilla soup. MARIA JOSE was our server and she made sure we got all we needed. My friend ordered queso fundido and was a really big dish with actual cheese, no
That white queso thing that you get @ any TexMex. Definitely coming back. Great music and atmosphere

Went there in thanksgiving night. So no many people were there. The salsa and chips were great. We ordered fiesta fajita with pork. The meat was a lot, but a bit dry. The vegetables were very juicy. The portion was very big.

Great food & atmosphere! The service was a little slow to start, but they appeared to have been busy cleaning & getting ready for the dinner rush(I came during happy hour). They had Corona Premier on tap & happy hour has 25oz draws(I think $2off original price?). The street tacos were some of the best we’ve had! And of course you get free chips & salsa! We’ll definitely be going back!

Overall a meh restaurant. Food was very average. There are so many better options in the metro area. Friday night service was not good once they started getting busy. Saw the waitress 3 times – taking our order, delivering our order, leaving the check.

My fiancée ordered two tortas and a flan. When he got home we realized we got fajitas instead. I don’t know how they got our order so wrong. We didn’t get someone else’s order because one of them was customized the way I asked and we still got the flan. We still ate since we were hungry and live in another city. They tasted fine, however they were dry. About $60 wasted. Never ordering again

There was no one waiting and took approximately 5 minutes to be seated. We were waited on immediately once seated. Chips, salsa and guacamole were good. Shredded beef hard tacos were soggy and immediately broke through the hard shell when lifted from the plate. The Waitress asked how everything was and we told her about the soggy tacos. There was little reaction from her. Maybe a shoulder shrug. Restaurant appeared clean but worn down. Booth seats need replacing.

Always looking for good Mexican food! El Toro Loco checked all the boxes! I got the avocado enchiladas! They were delicious! And the rice and beans were perfect! If I lived in the area, I would be there once a week.
Oh, and I love how the salsa comes in a little decanter, and each person gets their own little bowl for their salsa. Chips were great, too!

I placed a carryout order of Fajitas ($18.25), double rice (no beans) and extra guacamole ($2.25). The order was ready on time. I walked in and there were three carryout orders on the counter including mine. Unfortunately, there was nobody at the counter and I waited nearly 5 minutes for an employee so I could pick up my order. Interestingly, two different servers briefly came up to the counter, but never addressed me and quickly went back to their duties.
Upon arriving home, I was very disappointed to see the small portions. There was enough chicken to fill up only two of the three tortillas. The rest of the entree was onions and peppers. And, that was filling up the tortillas at a medium level. In order to have filled all three tortillas, I would have had very little chicken in each “fajita.”
There were plenty of chips in a sack. However, they only gave me one very small container of salsa that was only half-filled. As for the double order of rice, it was either mistakenly a single portion or they are very skimpy with the rice. There was also a very small dollop of pico, sour cream and plain guacamole.
However, the extra side of guacamole was the strangest part of all. This container was even smaller than the salsa container. It was perhaps the smallest container manufactured. It costs $2.25 which is ridiculous for the mini size considering Wal-Mart sells an entire avocado for 70 cents and that’s the retail price so the restaurant pays even less since they buy them wholesale. I’m all for a restaurant making a profit, but that small side of guacamole shouldn’t have cost more than a dollar. It was tiny.
The order was nearly $25.00.
The food itself is fairly tasty and the restaurant is clean. I will give the review 2 stars overall because the food is actually very good, but they really need to either reduce the price for what you receive or increase the portions.
The portion sizes were unacceptably small for the price. And, the service (at least on that day/time) was pretty much non-existent. The restaurant was not that busy and somebody should be working the counter.
