Dude, these quesabirria tacos, rice, and beans are the bomb! Seriously, they’re the best tacos I’ve had since I was in Guadalajara. It’s my first time here, but I’m definitely coming back Monday and Tuesday for the deals. Gabriella and Ricardo are the best staff ever. If you’re craving anything on the menu, you gotta come by, say what’s up to the awesome staff, and enjoy a great meal with a Mexican Coke.

Food and service were pretty good but I did pick this place specifically for goat or chivo birria. Beef is fine, but available just about anywhere these days and true birria fans know it should be made from goat. Anyway, they should update the menu and give people a heads up.

As for their beef version, it’s pretty damn good. Just disappointed that I wasn’t able to get what I wanted because the online menu was dated and was too hungry to find another spot for dinner.

Pro tip: order ahead if you can. Don’t get the queso taco or hard shell tacos unless you are eating there. They get soggy/soft on the drive home.

1st time here, but been eating to try it out. Wanted to keep it simple and easy in case it wasn’t to what I was expecting.I ordered a small consome. When order they ask me if I want meat. So I went with consome meat added little less than 3 bucks. I decided to have it there, so they ask if want onion and cilantro,of course I do. Then he also asks if I want some chili oil, take it ez on the chili, super spicy. Broth was good and so was the meat. I find out though they have goat and you can for goat instead of beef,my error in not knowing. Also 4 stars only because they didn’t ask me whether beef or goat.definitely coming back for the goat and other items.I’m sure I’ll give them 5 stars next time

Totally recommend!!!
Hidden gem. Any item you choose will be delicious. My favorite dishes to order are the birria tacos with consume and the birria bowl combo. I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. You’ll definitely leave smiling from ear to ear.

El Cochino Chido goes to El Toro Chido for tacos

Looking for another taqueria to check out, I managed to find El Toro Chido. El Toro Chido is a quaint hole in the wall, serving up cheap eats. Originally wanting tripas, cabeza, lengua or buche, I was told they didn’t have them. Amongst the choices of asada, pastor, pollo & chorizo, I decided on 3 al pastor tacos.

Tacos al pastor ($1.87/each)-
Tacos under $2? That’s a bargain! Most places now charge $3 to $4. The al pastor tacos had ample amounts of meat, although it didn’t taste fresh. As if it’s been out for awhile. The salsa had good heat, and 3 tacos were enough to satisfy me.

Service was good. The wait wasn’t long before I had my food. Only a few tables to dine at, El Toro Chido is a takeout taqueria, and not for groups.

Cheap eats, full bellies. El Toro Chido is great for buying lots of tacos. While not the highest quality, their tacos area also cheaper, so know what to expect. I wouldn’t mind coming back, and exploring the rest of the menu the next chance I get.
