I was expecting better food. The food tasted the same as any other Mexican restaurant, nothing special like the atmosphere would suggest. They have a larger menu and a fancier way to present but the taste and quality wasn’t there. We were expecting live music like their social media stated, we arrived around 7:30 and left around 9pm and still no live music so I don’t know when that was supposed to start.. The drinks looked good but we didn’t have any, I’d rather just come for the drinks and loud DJ! I’d try it again of course, but was underwhelmed for sure.

This place if full of life. Bursting at the seems! The food was great and the service with spectacular. The Paloma was a little lacking. But the food made up for it. I saw another table bring out a strawberry margarita and that thing looked awesome. Next time I’ll get one of those.

Feels authentic! There are plenty of high end entrees in the menu. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. No combo meals and that type of thing. They brought out chips and salsa as soon as I was seated. I ordered the Fresh Lime Lemonade. It is great getting a Lemonade that does not come out of a fountain. I ordered the Boss Burrito. It came out very quickly. It was covered in shrimp. Well worth the cost of the meal! Overall, this unique Mexican restaurant best my expectations. I would highly recommend this location!

The whole experience overall was amazing! Customer service was great! Our server, Maribel, was very professional and took great care of us. Food came out fast, hot, and delicious! The Mango Habanero Aguachile was outstanding! Definitely recommend to anyone to experience El Toro!

Have you been to Verde? This is better and less expensive. They do have seafood that typical Mexican restaurants do not have. They have an extensive cocktail menu. They have elaborate Patron specialties. Every party comes with sparklers! You have a birthday to celebrate, this is it. Went on a Saturday night, DJ played till 11pm when the authentic band started. 10 gallon hats and an accordion! Friendly staff, pretty people, good times.

Our first time here…went with daughter and son-in-law who had been there once before and loved it. Service was top notch. Food was delicious…we had the ribeye, which was presented in such a cool way…order it to see how! Also had the Mocajete…awesome, and the Carne Asada, also awesome. Nice Mexican music and great atmosphere. Loved the lighted trees in the main dining room. Our server, Mirabel, was wonderful and took care of all of our requests with a smile. We plan to go back soon!

This place popped up on my feed a year ago, I was finally in town so we decided to go. We were there on a Saturday so it was pretty busy but we were still greeted and seated immediately. We orders 3 cocktails and were disappointed as there wasn’t the smallest hi t of alcohol on either drink. We started ordering bottled beer after that. We also had the aguachiles that were very delicious and perfect amount of spice. Main course was the parrillada for two. Every peace of meat on there was extremely dry and had no seasoning whatsoever. The tortillas were also cold. Rice and beans were very good. Waiter was upset we didn’t eat the food or take it with us. We told her we were just visiting and wouldn’t have anywhere to reheat it. She shook her head and took the food away. Honestly wouldn’t have taken it anyways since it was not good fresh out the kitchen, would’ve been worse after reheating it. The highlight of the night was the live band that played. The band is the only reason we would go back, this time we would only get a bucket of beer and some aguachiles.

The girls and I got together at El Toro Barvo last night and we had a blast!! Right when you walk in, there is beautiful artwork filled with culture. The music is lively, and you can see the bartenders and managers are invested in the restaurant’s success. Our server was Carolina and she was excellent. The food was good—the drinks were top-tier. We had the Volcano rimmed with Tajin and arrives with flames. We also had a beautiful pitcher of jalepeno margarita made fresh. I had the chicken quesadilla and we also shared a cute churro cart. Carolina gave us a tour and shared endless potential for each room. Tons of space for private events if you’re interested. I’ll for sure be back!
