Very friendly staff, but I can’t say that made up for my immediate disappointment upon seeing my vegan taco. It was the saddest looking taco I’ve ever eaten. Put more pizazz and effort into it! Add some salsa fresca and rice, and chunky guacamole – not this creamy weird stuff. I truly wish I could’ve asked for a refund. After tip, I paid $10.17 for it!! Never ever again.

As a Mexican I am truly disappointed at the abomination they call Mexican food. My friend ordered a “burrito” but I guess the cook doesn’t know how to fold one because it was falling apart. It was 90% beans & 10% meat.

One of the worst Mexican food that I had it in my life. If I could give 0 stars then I would have given it that also. We bought chicken tacos which had just chicken, avocado, and some lettuce (I requested guacamole but instead they put avocado). the veggie bowl was pathetic and the server told us that it is their best selling dish. In no way that feels true. Same with quesadillas which had just beans and lettuce. There was no cheese, no sour cream, guacamole, no salsa on any of the dishes. The chicken burrito was ok not that great.

Wonderful unassuming hence the 3 for atmosphere, Mexican restaurant in Capitola. Good fish tacos, crab enchiladas and vegan spinach enchiladas. Other interesting options on the menu. Very friendly staff and service.

I couldn’t eat another bite! I love bringing my family here to enjoy my favorite Capitola Mexican spot. I get the Chile Verde every time because it’s the closest I’ve had to my mom’s delicious dish. Everyone else loves their meals here as well. Thank You El Toro! We’ll be back again and again.

This restaurant has the best food and service in Santa Cruz (Capitola). I have been away for 3 months. After driving back home for 10 hours, I didn’t even drive home. I drive straight to El Toro Bravo to enjoy a taco and enchilada. The best!
