I love love love this place! However it is a hit or miss I’ve ordered from here multiple times and really enjoy their food when it’s made properly. The food is very inconsistent, ingredients change and the taste of it changes and has a handful of times I’ve ordered. I’ve ordered the albondigas more times than I can count and sadly the soup base changes often and the rice used changes. Sometimes I get a good amount and other times I get one carrot and one potato.

The food is great 99.9% of the time.
This place and the one across the street has always, and I mean always had service issues. Their wait staff is very very slow, even to bring water. They take forever to take your order, bringing your food and even to close your tab.
I recommend ordering takeout or using drive thru. You need about 2-3hours and patience to dine in.

I ordered the green chicken enchiladas. I thought this was authentic food but it gives Tex mex – no flavor at all what so ever not even the sauce had flavor. The beans and rice over priced and def not worth it. This was my first time trying Pozole and I wasn’t a fan. Idk if I just don’t like the style of soup or if it was nasty. Would not order from this place again. And Mexican food in my life. I know good Mexican food. If you’re looking for good authentic Mexican food, this isn’t it. And it took FOREVER just to be nasty

Came to from Texas for the holidays and was craving chilaquiles. I found El Torito through a Google search. Pictures and reviews were good so I took my family there. The restaurant was clean and we were greeted right away. Not sure if the heat was broken or just off. It was 37 degrees outside and it was not much warmer inside. The staff and customers were all wearing their coats. The menu was impressive! Living in TX and traveling to MX frequently we are quite picky. El Torito did not disappoint in the food department! I will say that my family had a bit of difficulty ordering their meals because the menu was in Spanish and our waitress did not speak English. She went to get someone else to assist. We ate quickly because our hands and faces were so cold. Delicious meal! No one ever came back after we received our food. I went to ask if we could get our bill and I waited awhile before someone came to help me. They seemed upset I came up to the counter so it was awkward. The total was $40 for 3 meals and 3 Coca-Cola’s. I tipped $10 because the food was good and I felt bad for the staff because it was so cold. I did not appreciate the service we received. I speak basic Spanish and I did my best to communicate. I would have thought that the staff would have been more polite. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for the yummy food, and I will give it another chance when I visit next.

I went here with a large group and they made us feel so welcome! They always were making sure we had everything we needed and I felt very well taken care of, I will 1000% be coming back and their 1.50 mini tacos are a great deal if you on a budget.

Never was able to put a food order in. Our party asked multiple times, and multiple servers. I tried to order at the counter prior, was given a strange look then the person walked away and didn’t come back. In regards to the food, the chips, salsa, and quac were pretty good.

Should be N/A on service and atmosphere because I’ve only gotten delivery, but the food appears to be made quickly and comes really hot. They have such a large menu but I keep going back for the tacos al pastor. They are big chunks of meat from the trompo that still arrive tender and juicy. They provide what seems like really nice big homemade tortillas and lots of toppings for your preference of tacos. The variety of salsas is always a good mix too.

Pretty impressed! Ordered rice, beans, cheese dip, guacamole, and chicken quesadillas, and everything was good. Lots of flavor. They even gave us utensils and sauces.
