Food has made a big improvement they need to clean up the outside and make it more inviting. The should redo the inside and embrace the view and the Monterey bay and the Mexican heritage of the area they have one of the best views along Cannery Row, embrace it. The restaurant doesn’t need to be as dark with browns and tans. This was a Sunday brunch buffet. The food was good. All the servers at the different stations were attentive, and they kept the food fresh. Our table server was attentive to removing plates and checking on our needs. He did bring us our mimosas that came with the Buffay, but they have changed coffee service to self-serve not his fault but you have to get your coffee in a paper cup for the price you pay I would prefer it served at the table in a coffee cup not a paper cup.

I had a wonderful evening at El Torito with a lovely atmosphere and an ocean view during dinner. They offer free parking for 2 hours, and while you wait, they delight you with nachos. The food was delicious, the staff was courteous, and the service was efficient. Highly recommended!

Ordering guac/chips at this restaurant is a fun experience! They have a good selection of vegetarian options, although they are a bit bland. Service is slightly mismanaged – for example, we had to ask for cutlery/water/napkins.

I used to eat here a lot in 2005 but the quality seems to have decreased. The salsa had no flavor – it was like just chopped vegetables. The birria tacos did not taste anything like birria, instead it tasted like left over carne asada mixed with something else. The rice and beans were like eating leftovers from your fridge that you’ve reheated more than once. I would just never go back here again unfortunately. Nice views of the bay though

The food was mediocre at best. My salad was fine however my husband got a platter & the presentation was horrible looked nothing like the picture. He didn’t even finish it. The wings were just chicken tenders not even fully tossed in the sauce. The server was very kind however the hostess was standoffish and cold. This is the kids chicken tender meal with apple sauce this is how they gave it to us at the table. We also waited a hour to get our meal! Will not be coming here again. Not worth it.

We asked for a window seat, server said there was none and sat us next to two open/ clean booths in front of windows that no one sat in the entire hour we were there. Chicken was dry, beef was dry, salsa tasted watered down, burgers looked microwaved. We asked for chips 3x- never got them or silverware. It was the most bland Mexican food we’ve ever had. Will not be returning.
