I have always loved El Torito’s and have in the past…enjoyed many good times there (Lakewood location) with friends, mate “, the food is still VERY GOOD, the Mango margarita (blended) was made well but was *tequila weak*. Went in to split a dinner with my wife ordered the burrito Especial shredded beef option from this young guy who was way over his head, the burrito took an unusually long time and when it was brought it was not shredded beef, took so long we sent it back and ordered a side of beans as a dip but even that took a long time.

Burger taste was absolutely amazing. Bun was too small for the big burger though. Garlic fries were super good. Server walked by at least ten times before checking on us. Enchilada plate looked good, daughter didn’t eat much.

Don’t waste your money here! Party of 4 and were told there was a 45 min wait but tables were available in the bar area okay Kool, little did we know they were short staffed so our waitress was on overload she was very sweet but basically running all the tables in the bar. The food was Nasty with no flavor instead of the manger walking around asking if everything was okay go help the staff No it’s not okay sir ! Go somewhere else

Sat at the bar for dinner, the service was not great & our order was made wrong. Of course it was corrected, but we sat down in the middle of a shift change so the guy before didn’t communicate with the second employee and he had no idea we were still waiting on a plate. We waited so long we asked about our order, by the time it was brought out my food got cold waiting for the other. The drinks were also terrible. The second guy did his best to turn the experience around, but incredibly disappointing experience

My Dad brought us to El Torito today, we had previously tried one in Stockton and were a little weary after that experience. This location redeemed the El Torito name! Our waiter, who I think was the owner, was super attentive and friendly and even made our side of guacamole fresh at our table using avocados, Pico de Gallo, jalapeños, and lime. I’m usually very picky when it comes to guacamole let’s just say we demolished that so quick! I ordered the asada tacos vampiros and they were exceptional and the rice was really good too, all the food had the perfect flavor to spice ratio. Will definitely be back next time we are in town!
