We make sure to stop in when we are in Jackson. The food and service are consistently exceptional. We had veggie fajitas, black beans and rice with leftovers for breakfast the next morning.

My most recent visit to this restaurant was absolutely disgusting the menu looked like someone ate a full meal off of it, the chair was covered in food and dirt, then there were black chunks in my drink from a dirty cup. Then when I told the owner she seriously started arguing with me saying they wipe down their menus(which i wiped down for them with hand santizer, bc i wasnt going to comolain over just that) And when I no longer wanted to eat my food because of how dirty it was in there she just offered to remake it as if they were suddenly going to have clean dishes. Didn’t offer us any sort of discount or anything for it, and was super rude. I literally drank from the cup with chunks in it & ended up sick all night as I have immune issues. NEVER go here, their food is mediocre at best anyway. our taco trucks taste better & are actually cleaner which is saying something. * edited to add* my family who still wanted to eat their food all have diarrhea this morning.

Never been anywhere that gave you deep fried flour tortillas as chips. Love their fish tacos and they have the best (and very reasonably priced) margaritas! 100% recommend!

The crab and shrimp enchiladas were so good! I also loved their mix of flour and corn tortilla chips! This restaurant is also super cute inside and the staff is really nice

This is a family owned restaurant, and the food is really good. I will drive an hour just to eat there. It tastes more authentic than most places. I used to live in southern California, where we had premium Mexican food any time we wanted it. I highly recommend it also because they go out of their way to make your food the way you want it. Also, we love the awesome flour tortilla chips. And just in case you want a dessert, try putting some sugar on top of those! Yum!

My family has enjoyed this place for many years. The food used to be so good. I went there with my family tonight and we had one of the rudest employees offer us drinks and snap at us when we asked for chips and salsa. Then she proceeded to spend the rest of our experience using a small vacuum up and down the aisle while we’re eating right next to us. The food is horrendous. It was like they used slices of Kraft cheese and melted it on tortillas to try to pass it off as authentic Mexican food. Nothing on the menu was served as was described or pictured. None of my family finished their meal in fact I took three or four bites and could not really stomach to eat the rest of it. As the employee kept pushing a dust broom type vacuum cleaner up and down the aisle next to where we’re eating I finally just got frustrated and said let’s go. This place needs and overhaul. It’s pretty sad when people leave two and three star reviews because “The chips were good”. Starting with the ” chef ” and the menu, buying better ingredients and making better food then to training their employees to run a restaurant. The employee that was pushing the carpet room repeatedly up and down the aisle next to us had a bad attitude and kept looking at us in some weird ways. This isn’t fast food, it’s a sit down restaurant. I’m reading the reviews and realizing that the one star reviews go back almost two years. This means that they simply don’t care about their business and have made no effort to improve anything. Most important the food. It was cold, tasteless, had a terrible presentation, made of really cheap ingredients and was overall unedible. I bit my tongue and paid the bill and the mandatory tip as we left … never to return again. I really hope the owner or manager reads this and decides to improve their business.

El Torero is a wonderful Mexican restaurant with a good selection of dishes. As expected we were started with chips and salsa. The chips were warm and delicious and a mix of corn and flour. The flour chips were light and crunchy. The salsa seemed fresh and had a nice mild flavor. I asked for a spicier salsa and was treated to a green salsa with a good bit of heat. In our party we had Chili Verde, chicken tacos and beef tacos. All were great.
