El Tipico don’t play fair. El pernil was tender like it had a bedtime story the night before. Rice? Fluffy and loyal. And that tres leches? Bro… that cake hit me with childhood flashbacks I didn’t even live. Whole meal felt like a hug from your favorite tía. 10/10 would cancel plans after eating again.

The food is amazing as long as you get there for lunch early 11:00-1:30PM anything after that is cold and old. The night staff is not that nice either. The food has really good taste and the portions are big. Authentic Dominican food. I drive for 40 minutes to get here from my house and is very worth it. The ladies from the morning are very nice too. The place is not that big about 12 booths. There’s no waiters here either. Your order your food and pick it up in the front.

Food is not bad I just wish the place was a little cleaner. I didn’t see a menu when I walked in but the ladies there were friendly in letting me know what they recommended.

We were trying to get home to Vermont but didn’t want to sit still in rush hour traffic, so we stopped in at 5 p.m. on a Monday night. We were taking a chance, but the big number of locals coming and going suggested we had made a good choice. The place was too busy for me to chat and ask questions, so I just efficiently pointed at the cassava and some red sauce. It was great! And I got a passion fruit juice to drink. We ate in the car to keep the inside tables free for others, and we needed to get on the road anyhow. Two of us ate well for about $18.

If you want the best Spanish food in town than this is the spot! Their pork belly is beautiful, crispy, beautiful, and absolutely delicious! Their beefsteak is fire and so tender… their service is great and you’re never waiting long no matter how long the line is and they always give me a good smile and that goes a long way! Prices are very reasonable. Fresh juices and many other amazing things. I highly recommend! They have tables there that accommodate up to 4 people but it’s really an awesome spot to go grab a killer meal for the fam or yourself to bring home and enjoy! Perfect local spot

Preface by saying, I have loved Tipico for YEARS and have the fondest memories growing up on their food.
BUT – 2 nights ago there was a cockroach embedded into the side of my plantain. My soul was instantly crushed while my stomach did a thousand circles.
