If you’re looking for Mexican fast food, then this is the place to visit!

While driving around in search of a quick bite to eat, we were craving Mexican food, and decided to give this place a go!

El Tibu Taqueria is a family owned, self-serve restaurant. The atmosphere is very relaxed and chill.

Service: The lady working at the cashier spoke both Spanish and English, which was nice since we can only speak English. Ordering food and drinks was very easy and fast.

In terms of the food, it was pretty good! If you order tacos, you can either get them cooked inside or outside. If you get them cooked outside, you pick them up at a little cute taco stand in front of the restaurant entrance. Overall, the food was DELICIOUS and filling, and the Hibiscus and Rice drinks were extremely flavorful!

Way too small for the traffic of people..
One person using up all 4 of the big load washers and others waiting on her to unload one whilst she went around to find the dryers full…

The restroom doesn’t even have a seat cover nor a seat to sit on straight off the toilet bowl..messy as can be… no paper towels or dryers to dry hands…

Crowded with small corredors carts have to be moved around often and everyone standing by your washer making it even that much difficult to get by…

With that being said~
Washers/Dryers work pretty good.
Price on washer is VERY reasonable and affordable..

Wonderful chicken mole tacos!! Not too sweet, with a bit of spice. The handmade tortillas are sublime. Also try the warm chocolate or cinnamon rice beverage. The owners are very welcoming and gracious!

20 min wait for to go breakfast burrito!!! No one else in the restaurant. Another order after myself. That order went out first.
Breakfast Burrito itself was reasonable for the price. Paid just over $10.

I stopped at that food truck that they have on the corner while passing through the city. This was the worst burrito I ever had. I ordered asada and every bite of my burrito was dry and fatty meat. We had 2 burritos and the second one was the same way. Maybe there other meats are good but they charge way to much money to not be serving quality meat. Stay away from this place.

Staff and food (specially tacos al pastor) are on point! But… the place was not clean… tables where not clean, garbage cans were overflowing with the waste… the faucets of the ladies restroom don’t work and the water was pouting when I got there. I will go back just for take out because it is not eye pleasing being at a place like this. Hope they clean more often or get a cleaning person to avoid those messes.

I been on the food truck and is amazing, I really like Al pastor tacos and they make it very good. Today was my first time in the restaurant in Madera, the quality is the same and the price is right.

Nice little establishment with good food options. Super burritos are of a good size and meat is always cooked to perfection. The staff are nice and out going. There seems to be a lack of attention to tables that need cleaning but other then that this place is good and prices are ok.

We stopped by for a later dinner for our family us and (children) we spent $75. On 5 burritos 2 chicken 3 asada
Cashier unknown on receipt
We brought food home Got home began to eat. My small children began with an unpleasant reaction as ALL burritos had salsa in them. We DID NOT ask for salsa in them and the heat level was too hot for our children to eat their food and ours even at a tolerable level.
We contacted their establishment by phone as this happened and the woman on the phone replies and said it is their common practice to automatically add salsa into burritos UNLESS YOU ASK THEM NOT TO ADD IT INto the burrito.

They have a self serve area FOR THEIR CHILE which I got in the side for just me to try but with the heat they added in EVERYONE had TOO MUCH Who wanted it or not.

Why have the self serve salsa there if they add it in?!?!

?!?! What?! That’s news for me. We didn’t order a “spicy burrito” or ask with chili no one asked about adding that in. Unless advertised I don’t know why they’d think to add it in for you with no indication they will do so. We spent almost $100 on food we could not enjoy and eat comfortably with someone quick to pass off the issue we experienced and not aim to make anything better. It’s very questionable that she is being honest in her response and ultimately what responsibility is being taken for the action of adding it in.

I do also understand people can be allergic to ingredients in salsa and I DONT think it’s a good thing IF THEYRE BEING TRUTHFUL that it’s something they JUST DO commonly for any case of someone who also can experience what we did. Can’t make sense of this other than question the response we got by phone.

Be aware and be warned In case you choose to dine here that according to tonight’s lady at the register they add in salsa to your burritos on their own UNLESS you ask them not to.
Take accountability if this woman’s claim to us is false El tibu and have some integrity lady because something STILL don’t add up. Unable as much as everyone tried to get past it … for us all to finish our meal and be satisfied. Not a fan of spending money on food and it be inedible

Be aware.
