This spot is awesome! The queso is delicious (a serious high point), the quesabirria tacos were awesome, and my son loved his chicken taco with rice and beans. The employees were friendly and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely be back to try more.

Overview: This is a newer place in a smallest strip mall, and advertisers as a torta restaurant. But there’s a lot of other standard Mexican fair on the menu. Personally I only find good tortas on taco trucks. In fact taco truck tortas are one of my main stays. So I was a tad skeptical, but hopeful.

Ambiance: With all glass windows, it’s not much to hide behind doors. This place is a very simple yet clean “mom-n-pop” chain, my favorite, with only Mexicans cooking the food and lots of Spanish spoken inside. Good sign I’d say if you’re looking for real Mexican

Service: the service is polite, simple, one guy speaks decent English, and there are mostly 4 seat tables to choose from. I came about a week ago and they were ran out of bread. I was deeply disappointed as I had to come back. I didn’t want a burrito or taco, I came for a torta.

Food: There are a wide variety of Tortas on the menu, but they also include include standard fare like tacos and burritos. If you’ve never had a torta, you’re in for a treat. It’s a Mexican sandwich with a variety of meat choices and other toppings. The bread can be a make or break part of the equation. I of course ordered a torta. There are several options, and I chose the carnitas-chorizo avocado torta. I’m not necessarily a chorizo fan, but this sounded like a good combination, an oh, boy was it. From bite one all the way though the 1/2 of sandwich, it was pure, sexy, delightful, flavorful, Mexican torta experience. I fell in love after bite number three… .

Verdict: for me it comes down to one thing, would I go back? This is actually super easy. Absolutely yes, in a heartbeat. In fact this surprise will become one of my regular stops. There are so many different kinds of tortas to try, and from other customers I queried, they said the burritos and tacos are fabulous. Here’s to good tortas in Boise! Who would have thought?!??

Got the Fiesta 6 pack! The tacos are bomb & full of flavor! Bigger than the regular small tacos! The hot sauce could have been hotter but still good! Cant go wrong with chips & salsa!

I got the carnitas and they are to die for! Everything is well seasoned and tastes delicious. They come with your choice of tortillas. I got flour and corn and they were both wonderful. The service was nice and quick. Overall great experience and will defiantly be coming back!

I just moved to to the Northwest from Boston. I have never had a torta before. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Verde. It was so delectable. All the components complimented each other; the perfectly cooked and soft chicken with the jalapeños and the bread. If I go to Boise again, I can’t wait to try more things! The staff was also so genuinely kind and attentive, even as they were busy cooking. They made sure our party was happy 🙂

The food is Fantastic!!! So flavorful. This spot has only been open 6 month, and glad I found it. Has the quality and taste of a SoCal taco shop. Incredible, we will be back!!
Also, BEST michelada I’ve had anywhere in the area.
Shout out to Felix, he is very hospitable.

First time trying here. I’ve been trying to find a good Mexican restaurant. That tasted like my mom’s cooking & WOW! So good, beautiful environment! Very good hospitality
Food was so delicious. I got 3 al pastor tacos and 3 carne asada tacos. Perfectly seasoned and the al pastor weren’t greasy at all! Pineapple was fresh!
My boyfriend got birria tacos and so good !!
The salsa’s were perfect! First Mexican restaurant I’ve been, to that the salsas aren’t too watery and perfectly mixed!!
The tortillas tasted good and they were huge!
The hortchata was so good and didn’t taste too watery either!!
The only bad thing I would say for $3 per taco, i do expect more meat than onion. On my taco.. I wiped a half an onion off two tacos..
I would definitely come back and try something else!

This is a great neighborhood restaurant. The sandwiches are quite large. The prices a reasonable. It’s possible to get a meal for less than $10. I recommend the carnitas. I didn’t care for the Al pastor meat, it tasted too much of chili powder. I would come back for their street tacos.

We ate here the other night and loved the food. The place was very clean, the staff were very friendly, and the food was really good. My kid has asked every day since if we can go back for more tacos.
