A little slice of Mexico in ATL!
I’ve been craving an authentic quesadilla for months and I finally found it in El Tesoro!
The ambiance is chill, personable and welcoming.
The menu has an array of choices from chips and guac to quesadillas.
All very authentic, tasty and simple.
Staff is helpful, hospitable and kind. I ordered a mango-habanero margarita and a barbacoa quesadilla. Absolutely DEVOURED it!
The weather was perfect the music was bumping, and I will definitely be suggesting this restaurant to my friends and family

I am a skeptical person always, it’s a problem, and so usually I don’t leave reviews to places I have been because my rule is if I don’t have anything nice to say, just don’t say anything at all. This place blew my socks off. There is a reason it’s trendy and all the hipsters go here. Because it’s amazing.
The atmosphere is so fun and in the spring and summer?! Fagedda bout it! Game over.
I’m convinced they have a magician making their food. I am picky and I have not one single critique. I’m also not sure I took a picture of any of the actual food but will amend that next time I go.

Tesoro has such a cool, picnic-style vibe — complete with a cozy fire pits that makes the whole place feel like a fun dhaba/street-style hangout! The food was genuinely good, fresh, and full of flavor. Super family-friendly too, so the kids had a great time while we relaxed. A great spot to unwind, enjoy tasty Mexican dishes, and soak in the outdoor ambiance.

El Tesoro is our go to neighborhood spot. Waiting in line (with chips and margs) is part of the whole experience! The food is always on point, the atmosphere is lively, and everyone always seems like they’re having a wonderful time. The staff is also great!

Me and my sister got wasted here the day after Christmas for my birthday lunch at 4pm. It was 70° outside. Truly some of the best Mexican cuisine I’ve ever had.

While the outdoors-only seating can be weather dependent, this is an excellent spot for a lovely Fall lunch!
We were there as a large group for a weekend brunch, and despite the long line, it was worth it.
The family-friendly space, the freshly prepared tacos and the margarita pitchers… yep, we’ll return for sure!

One of the best meals of my life. So fresh and so many different items to try! Margaritas were great too and we enjoyed the outdoor patio! I tried a mulita, tamale, and taco. My friend got the steak burrito, which was also so good. I think my favorite thing was the red salsa.

When I first stopped here and saw the line I thought “ya probably gonna pass on dis”. Even more so when I stood there for over 30 mins. Glad to say it was completely worth it and totally justified why they get lines all the way to the street. While the price is a bit high you will not feel bad about it after the first bite.

My only complaint is the wait time. We waited around 45 minutes to place our order, but it’s understandable since it’s a popular spot and it was a Saturday night. The place is dog friendly and kid friendly, which is always a plus. The food was totally worth the wait for sureeeee! I had a quesadilla with a side of rice and beans, and even though the place looks a bit gentrified, the flavor was authentic and way better than I expected. The prices are reasonable. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and there’s plenty of seating. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Mexican restaurant with old school Atlanta vibe. In a Saturday afternoon, it was a solid 30+ min wait in line to order food, then prob 20 minutes to receive it. Overall food was good – a tad spicy for my tastes. Food decently priced but the alcohol is pricey – $25 margarita is high! While you’re in line, a server does walk by to take drink orders. Chips ($4.50) so come with a decent amount of salsa, which I appreciate. The mildest one was still a bit spicy for me
Great outdoor seating (no indoor seating). Tons of dogs!
