Colorful little Mexican restaurant with several tables inside and on a covered back patio. We found the potato particularly tranquil. They have an extensive menu and I enjoyed the nachos with bistek. The frozen margarita was large and delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Stopped in after a night iut and grabbed some tacos. We tried the barbacoa, bistek tacos and beef fajita quesadilla. The barbacoa was a bit greasy but the taste and texture were worth it. All of the food was so good. I see a sign that says East Best Tacos and I can see why. I would definitely come back!! The staff was also super sweet.

It is one of the best authentic Mexican street tacos. I came in with a big group, and we tried all the tacos that were on the menu, and they were all delicious. My favorite one was the Chorizo, it was really good. The hot sauce bar looked unattended until we asked them to refill, and they were nice about it to do so. The place looked ok and not so clean at the tables, but we’ll the tacos were really good.

This place is great. Lots of choices and the food is fast and delicious. We went and was a little confused on how to order at first, they have self serve computer screens to order. It was my first time seeing this but a employee came over and helped us out. The prices are really fair it seems like Austin has gone crazy with their taco prices but not this place. The food was fresh and the portions was great. We loved our breakfast tacos plus they have a salsa bar so you can dress them up the way you like. We ordered drinks and they were huge and had a great taste. My margarita had a red salty rim on it and was tangy very good. They have indoor seating but also have a great outdoor patio, it was really nice. They brought out our food and were super friendly. I am looking forward to heading back for some tacos. Thanks for the great food

Run of the mill place, food was OK, at least it’s cooked fresh. Nothing special. I don’t think the tortillas are home made. The salsas were good tho…I’d probably try someplace else next time

Found this place on a whim. Little dive that turned out to be amazing. The service definitely is not there but the food is amazing. The homemade chicken quesadilla melts in your mouth. The Barbacoa is so tender and moist that it melts with the corn tortilla. The chips are the perfect crunch and the queso was good a bit runny but the cheese flavor did come out. The Spanish rice was seasoned just right. Overall the food was amazing the service not so delightful. Due to food I will give this place a 4.

We specifically stopped here for their famous margaritas de mango & tamarindo. I had the mango and my friend had the other. I can’t honestly tell you which is best, but I can say that these are amongst the best ritas I have ever tried. We didn’t eat here so I can’t comment on the food~next time.
The reason I only gave 3 stars is because of thier ordering method.
You have to stand in line similar to that of a convenient store and the line forms around the tables where others are eating. I didn’t care for that. On the plus side the line moves rather quickly. When your order is ready just find a seat. In other words, they don’t serve you. The inside seating doesn’t seat many, but they do offer and outside seating section. Just be sure to bundle up on chilli nights as they do not provide any heat outside. Apart from the method of ordering, which isn’t a deal breaker. This is a good spot to share on a date or just hanging with friends.

Things are pretty much the same. The Rita’s are amongst the best. The food is very delicious. They can cook!
The seating is self service. Which means you have to find the cleanest table. Practically all the tables looked used. We found the table that was least dirtiest. I then went to find a napkin dispenser from the inner seating. It’s kinda like, to each their own.
My lady friend & I love the Rita’s so we deal with it. The food is definitely enjoyable.
We stayed and enjoyed the outdoors over a nice conversation.
I would recommend.

We had the pleasure of dining here for the first time last night and it definitely exceeded my expectations. I’ve driven by it many times but finally decided to try it and I’m so glad I did. I had the Tex-Mex enchiladas and they were some of the best enchiladas I’ve had in Austin. Very fresh and well-prepared. The margaritas were also delicious and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.

Simply great! Unlike the new, fashioned taco places that serve tacos with lots of sauce, cheese and other stuff, this place serves pure authentic tacos – meat, onion, cilantro. Salsas are available on the side. Every taco we ordered was delicious.
