Initially music was so loud we could not hear the server. He did end up turning it down. The order did not come out right (possibly because the music was so loud he could not hear us), some of it had to be sent back. As for the other parts of the order. We were told to just scrape off what we didnt want. We never did get drink refills. Food was mediocre. Service was slack. Atmosphere was not enjoyable. I would not recommend this restaurant.

El Tapatio’s was heavilly recommended to me as the best Mexican restaurant in the state of Georgia, if not the whole USA, and even perhaps, the world. I was not disappointed. The staff welcomed me as soon as I walked in the door, exceptionly friendly. Once seated at my table, I was served by Latoya who was without a doubt one of the best waitresses I have ever met. She is beautiful, warm and engaging, Latoya knew the menu inside out, made solid recommendations and ensured I got El Tapatio’s famous cheese dip. I chose a burrito from their extensive menu, which arrived very shortly afterwards. I don’t actually know how to describe it. Words and phrases like, “outstanding, amazing, to die for, best ever” understate just how great the meal was. I really wanted desert but the main was so filling, I couldn’t fit anymore in. If you want the best Mexican experience of your life, head to El Tapatio’s – for the best experience make sure you request to sit in Latoya’s area and be sure to send me your thanks for the recommendation, you will not be disappointed. This one gets my A+ seal of approval!

Also the tipped themselves $2.00 , I never gave them permission or authorization for a tip. That’s wrong and unethical. Next time price your food accordingly to cover your business cost if not don’t do business. Do better. Todo por unos centavos más , increíble a que extremo llegan por el dinero.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I feel it is needed for establishing a better business model.
Pros – very clean , very polite staff , great fast service , nice atmosphere!
CONS – they’re salsa taste like it came from a cheap aluminum can and it’s only canned tomatoes, the meats are very bland and lack flavor and very dry. I feel like it’s not authentic enough to be called a Mexican restaurant. The owner should go to Southern California and learn a few things. The people deserve better.

This restaurant is a real treat! Never in my life have I finished everything on my plate at a Mexican restaurant..Usually the rice is dry and non flavorful. This rice was succulent, flavorful, and had a nice aroma. The refried beans were from scratch as well. The beef chimichanga was presented masterfully. Notice the crust and delicacy. This place was priced very well for what you are receiving. Highly recommend!

Went here for a quick lunch. The food was okay I might be a little picky because I have had better but the service was great and so was the atmosphere. For my fellow truckers I will say it is conveniently located across from the Flying J exit 19 I20 WB side. You can literally walk across the street.

Went in for dinner. Was seated pretty quickly. Once I got seated it took forever for someone to help me. One of the waiters walked past me and pointed at my table saying “help her” because it has been such a wait. The restaurant wasn’t busy. There were 4 tables with 3 people or less. Finally a nice lady comes and takes my drink order and food order. I got the shrimp fajitas. They came out hot, not sizzling like fajitas normally do. No biggie they were good. I finished my food and waited again for someone to bring me a check. I got a totally different waiter that stopped to check if I needed anything. I don’t know what was going on if maybe I just went on a bad service day. The food was good but I wouldn’t go back to eat in.

Took my son out for our regular friday night outing and i figured let try a different place this time . The environment was great, very cultural and inviting! Our waiter i didnt get his name but he was very understanding, polite, and did great with speedy service, keeping our table clear and checking on us . All this being said the food was not as flavorful as i would have liked, its seemed more on the bland “white washed” side of the flavor spectrum. For example the salsa tasted purely canned tomato based with a few cut up onion/peppers it reminded me a V8 drink . If they could manage the food part of the restaurant a little more itd be the absolute perfect place . Until then i think we’ll continue to go to Taqueria Jalisco in douglasville .

Edit: I love the food here! The service can be a hit or miss though. The last couple of times my order was wrong due to the server not writing the order down than stating saying”oh I thought you said”. Please write the order down servers, so there will be some sort of accuracy with orders. We pay too much for the order to be inaccurate every single time.
